    Get something in my head and come hell or high water, I'm gonna do it. Here's the latest... saw a recipe for Split Pea Soup. I love the stuff, but have never made it, so thought I'd give it a try.

    Well good grief... whoever thought it had so many friggin ingredients AND required a handheld blender gadget ($19.95) to do it right???

    It's cookin and it looks nasty, but smells good. I could've bought myself 2 gallons of split pea soup at a fancy restaurant for what this one pot is costing me.

    Better be worth it... :omg:

    Love SPS, never use a blender...needs to be cooked long enough instead. Its really good with the addition of some frozen peas added at the end.

    Mine will be really good with the addition of some diced ham leftover from NYE. Mmmmm, add a loaf of crusty frenchbread nice bottle of wine and you've got a feast fit for... peasants!

    I am making an Indian flute today.
    I split the wood and am hollowing it out. Not the bridge. I'm impatient so I debarked it. I'm not sure if it was a mistake.

    I felt like making something and I had some royal paulownia branches from the tree in the back yard. I have a general idea where to put the holes but the pitch is going to be a challenge.

    heading out in a bit to get two, at least 2

    3 slices are 10 dollars its a travesty but their so good

    it has sprinkles on the top of different colors, i guess that is why they call it marti gras cheesecake

    One of those things I'll prob never make again. The crusty frenchbread was good... but I'm glad I had a pan of cornbread handy. Much better.

    Sorry to hear it made you sick. I saw a picture and to be honest the little splotches on top puts me off. I don't think I will try it. Sara Lee will get my business.:mrgreen: You can get a whole cheesecake for under ten dollars.

    Good morning all of you lazy bums. Come on now, it is time to get up and face the day. Dawn is now breaking here in Jackson. It looks like another really nice day here. I really just don't believe this weather that we are having.

    So anyway, those of you that are now up here is breakfast. And for those of you that are sleeping in for awhile it is called Brunch. Either way have a really great day.
