    Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
was the original Poolboy way back at Old Yahoo.
Mary will assuredly vouch for that assessment.

WOO HOO! I made it back to work and my name's still on my cubicle! Life is good!

Man, feels like I've been gone a long time. Nearly as long as it's been since Foolie was a poolboy back at Yahoo!

Here we go with a brand new year! Let's start it off right, shall we?

Pickapepper sauce goes well on either pork or lamb.

    Good morning.
Looks like we have some spicy guys in our mix. Gotta have peppa sauce with just about everything. Not only does it taste great, you eat less too. Is good for health and a girlish figure.

So, knowing that smarts has been fancied up made me look into perhaps getting a pedi myself, just for jokes.
Now, if it can be done without kicking someone, then that may become a treat now and then.

I happen to like the taste as it has a nice tangy flavor.

I'd say it was a good holiday, but today's the big test. I quit smoking on new year's eve. So far, so good.:gun:

When I was at my doc's office in early Nov (and talked about quitting), he gave me a box called Nicotrol Inhaler. I put it on the top of the 'fridge and didn't think about it again until New Year's Day... when I was pleasantly surprised to find it has a 30 day supply of nicotine cartridges. Seems to work pretty good... so far. At least I haven't taken off anybody's head yet... and still have something to suck on when I go outside with my buds for smoke break! :omg:

Yeah, I've thought about those, and have known a couple people who used them. When I was thinking of quitting back in the summer, my doc gave me an Rx for Chantix, but the ads and disclaimers you see about that stuff is scarier than smokes.

There is only one way to quit and that is to just not smoke. I know, I was a smoker for 45 years and was up to 4 packs a day. Then one day I decided to just quit and I did.

The first two weeks are the worst. It will take at least that long to get that junk out of your system. After that it will get easier and easier each and every day.

I also know that you will not be able to quit until you actually have made up your mind to do so. I know because I tried many times and was never able to quit. But one day I actually realized just how much money I was spending on cigarettes and said that it was enough.

You can do this if you are ready and really want to quit. About a week or so after you quit you will be able to smell what non smokers smell in your house. It really does stink.

All my best to you girls that want to quit. So, get it done johnny reb.

Yeah, he mentioned Chantix to me and I said no thanks. Seems to help more just having something to hold in your hand. LOL, my smoking buddy sez it looks like I'm smoking a tampon. Hey... whatever works!

LOL...exactly! If it works, it works.

OT....I've quit for years at a time and started back as many times. I simply don't want to quit, I like it too much. I know I can do it, but I've got to want to first.

Go Smarty!!! congrats on making the decision to stop smoking! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! There are a number of programs online that are designed to support your progress. I had one friend use one where it told her how much money she was saving, and for her that was a huge motivator!

Yeah, I had flashbacks to when Kelly quit... remember when we got a minute-by-minute report?

I'm with Kimi here... I don't really wanna quit, but decided to give it a try. Haven't even told very many people (including my dad)... in case I backslide.

So far, so good though. I have to admit I feel better and food already tastes alot better. Trying to keep the snacking stuff to pretzels & pork skins so my weight doesn't suffer. LOL, logged on this morning and there were about 100 emails from Weight Watchers.

    *sigh*

If it ain't one vice, it's another.
