It was a rough time. I think it was harder on me than it was on her.

 

It always is for the husband or wife who does the waiting. Time seems to stand still till you hear the good news. You can be a little bit ok if it is happening to you, but when it happens to your loved one it is pure sheer hell till you hear "All is well."

 

We won't tell anyone you were only 14 when you opened the bar and was checking ID's for legal drinkers.lol. G

Does your wife do her own tortillas? I tried making them once and what a mess.

 

It doesn't help when you start to Google how these things progress, life span with cancer, cancer treatment,etc. My daughter calls it doomsurfing. Life can be hard sometimes.

 

You have to stay away from Dr. Google.

 

My wife says yes, she wishes I would.

 

Wives know best and just don't forget it...lol.

 

The flour ones... masa trigo... corn tortillas are made on a machine and available fresh off the machine everywhere..

she does have torillarias she prefers...seems some stick togethr worse than others.

 

I got tired of Hispanic customers coming in attempting to buy beer after the legal hour of midnight and then acting like they don't know what I'm talking about when I tell them in Spanish no sell beer..... So I wrote this sign in perfect Spanish and English.

Dude comes in well after midnight, sits there and stairs at the sign reading it for about 30 seconds and still tries to buy beer....SMH... Jesus wept...

 

So not in the mood for christmas. Other than a few things I picked up along the way, people will be getting cards with cash in them. I have been completely uninspired this year. Guess it is because they were putting crap out in August.

 

No Speake, English. They come in to try to buy one month so they can get their registration and plates. I tell them I only have six month contracts. Then they asked me if they could get it for two weeks. Mind you I’ve been speaking fluent Spanish for over 25 years. I used to think perhaps I have an accent they couldn’t understand. I would put my wife on the phone, who was born and raised in Mexico and prides herself on speaking proper Spanish, and find they didn’t want to understand her either.

 

Just found out my sinus infection is COVID. FML.

Christmas is not a great time for social distancing. Hopefully you will have recovered in time.

Have been told by a couple people who recently had it to expect several days of vertigo in my near future.

 

I hope it isn't too bad for you. Take it easy and don't overdo it. My doctor had it and slept all the time for a couple of weeks.

 

All right I just put the sign on the door again.... Let's see how many people come in tonight and stare right at it and try to buy beer anyways.

 

Heard an old time Florida crackers say that two things ruined Florida..... Mosquito spray and air conditioning. You used to have to be tough to live here.

He's right. I can deal without air conditioning as long as I have open windows and fans.

 

They are illiterate in 2 languages

 

Still hopeful this COVID mess will be behind me in time for Christmas. It is certainly powerwashing my sinuses clean by the time it is over. Has stayed out of chest which is a blessing. Head still a little damp and still testing positive. Going stir crazy though.

 

Using the COVID pause on my life to clean the "Oh my God have I even lived here that long" food out of the kitchen cabinets

Y'all want to buy a vegetable van? We got my giirlfriends handicap accessible 98 Dodge caravan for sale.

The front shocks are wore out and the odometer quit working a long time ago and the gas gauge doesn't really work and it blows white smoke when you start it up because the valve train guide seals are leaking..... But the good news is you can start it up and drive down the road and we only are asking $1,000. I think I took a lot of pictures better than a lot of knuckle heads put on Facebook.... Got to get this thing out of the yard before you can't even say that much for it.

She just bought a 2002 GMC Yukon full size with 3rd row seating for 3300 bucks and it runs great. Kelley Blue book Fair value is $4,500. The guy wanted 3800 but I told him look man I'll just tell you what we got in our pocket... I got 33 hundred dollar bills.

Anytime you go to buy something take $100 bills, now if I would have told him I have 200 20 dollar bills and I'll have to go to the bank tomorrow to get the rest.... Ain't nobody trying to hear all that.

Quite a difference driving that big beast then either one of our minivans

 

My friend used to own an antiques shop and a bookstore and he taught me about the buying power of $100 bills.

Someone says they want four grand and you pull out 30 hundred dollar bills and it makes it real for them.

150 $20 bills is just not the same.... You got to lug all those things around !!!

Another friend of mine told me you should always keep $1,000 around because most everyone will break down and sell something for that if they've got to get out of Dodge
