Hey guys, it is snowing here, according to the weather channel we are supposed to get 3 inches, and south of us will get 4 inches.Go figure huh? The widshield of the car and truck are coated with snow. Everything is getting white..
Weird camping trip, bar mates. We feel a bit robbed. It was supposed to get in the upper 30s/low 40s, but it never really got below 50. I brought one pair of shorts with me, just in case. I could have used two. Bugger. We also both had a stomach thing for a few days. All in all, though, it was a good trip. There wasn’t too much rain. We did come home with way too much food because, well, you know. Who loses weight while camping?
Thanks. That was a few years ago. My dog lived a long happy life. Unfortunately, with all pets, it is never as long as we would like. If not for cats showing up and never leaving, I would just not have pets. Their ends are always so heartbreaking.
Sweet - Camping's the best. I thought I saw you say you caught the dreaded Noro? I've found that yogurt helps calm the intestines down from that.
Yeah, we were pretty sick for a short time. I can’t imagine throwing yogurt into a stomach that feels like puking; lol.
The snow is starting to melt the temperature has started to rise it was in the teens when I got up this morning. Getting a snowfall was pretty exciting..well to me it was..lol. The bridges and some of the roads in this area are closed. No traveling except for emergency vehicles. Bummer, Publix has some great sales today and I can't go..course they might be closed like the roads.
I know and when someone told me to take yogurt for upset stomach I didn't believe it but I felt so bad that one more vomit would happen anyway. I gave in and it worked, I started feeling better. It will take awhile and it soothes your stomach.
We are up to over 30 degrees now and the snow seems to have sped up melting. I hate to see it go but all good things have to end.
Yup. It worked wonders for me when I caught the Noro virus. After I ate the yogurt my digestive tract calmed down and I was able to keep solid food in me. Veterinarians prescribe it for dogs who have contracted parvovirus, too.
On a more pleasant note, I was blown away by the pictures coming out of New Orleans this week. Not exactly a day I would think of knocking back Hurricanes on Pat O'Brien's patio.... On the other hand, hot coffee & beignets sounds good....
Yay for folks who got snow. We have just been getting crazy cold weather. Got slightly above freezing today. Heard that we are currently in the top 10 coldest winters on record for the region and we were probably going to break the top 5 sooner rather than later. Our river had ice all over it which I have never seen before this year.
It'e been pretty cold in our neck of the woods in Ye Olde Dominion, too. Today we're getting above freezing for the first time this week. Tomorrow will be a fun filled day of cutting and splitting firewood...
A coupleof pictures of the snow. I was impressed with the snowfall we had in 2010 but this snow fall surpassed that snow. The snow looks like a cushion in the chairs.
