Just got an email from the Divas with an update on the slumber party. I was hoping the msg said, "Not enough interest... let's just do dinner" -- but it said EIGHT DIVAS CAN MAKE IT, SO WE'RE RENTING A PENTHOUSE SUITE PLUS A SLEEPING ROOM!!

Oh, good grief. Somebody will surely go to jail... hope it's not me!

That's what I'm thinking, too. And a few bottles of a nice sweet wine. Even tea-totalers can't resist a birthday toast, right?

 

LOL, gotta say... the giggles are the best part. One diva always entertains us with stories of taking care of her elderly dad who has about 6 girlfriends who vie for his attention. She's the one who introduced us to 'pillow talk' for your elderly relatives when they get too far gone. Jokingly, of course (will sleep with one eye open, just in case).

Someone plans to bring pics from their HS days. Seems they all loved some guy named Mark, but haven't been able to track him down. Hopefully, someone will bring a phone # for him so we can add him to our obscene phone # list.

Having dinner at a 4-star Tex-Mex restaurant. I figure a coupla giant margaritas will be just what the doctor ordered to get the night started off right. Watch... I'll be asleep by 9:30.

good morning all. Just thought that I would try and put a smile on some one's face today.





I was eating breakfast with my 10-year-old Granddaughter and I asked her, "What day is tomorrow?";

She said "It's President's Day!"

She is a smart kid. I asked "What does President's Day mean?"
I was waiting for something about Washington or Lincoln .... etc.

She replied, "President's Day is when President Obama steps out of the White House, and if he sees his shadow, we have 4 more years of Bull (*)(*)(*)(*)."

You know, It hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose!

 

Tomorrows Presidents Day, everyone put up decorations to celebrate this national holiday, its an American tradition to salute her commander in chief on this day.

 

I would if he had earned it, but he hasn't.

Haven't heard that one, Daise... but someone told me once in Oklahoma, "Well ma'am, you cain't get there from here. You gotta go someplace else to start." That one stuck with me. You know you're REALLY lost when...

 

You have never heard someone say..."Loster than a by George." Maybe it is just in this part of the south..lol. I knew that feeling today..oh, gee big time. I felt like screaming...if you don't know, don't give me directions... There are just so many left turns that should be right turns that you can take in one day. I reached my quota today. I am home and glad to be here.

Sounds like you may have had the same people givin you directions "Well ma'am, you cain't get there from here. You gotta go someplace else to start." too funny...lol.
