    Another day of shopping and another day of buying stuff for myself. Today it was a warm & fuzzy robe, pale blue... then of course, I had to have new blue fuzzy slippers to match. Oh yeah, and a black tee shirt with Santa on the front, that says OFFICIAL 2011 CHRISTMAS TOUR... ONE NIGHT ONLY, DECEMBER 25, 2011!

    Looked for a new table-top tree since mine's built-in stand broke. Went to 4 different stores and while they had some in boxes, nobody had one on display. How dumb is that? Who's gonna buy a tree they can't see first?? Gave up on the tree and started looked for a stand for my tree. Nuthin.

    Came home, got out the super glue, and fixed mine. Waiting for it to dry... this better work. :twisted::gun:

    I'm just in for a red wine, between the taxiing people to Christmas nights out and going to them myself, today is putting up the Christmas lights, wrapping presents and writing cards and we're only half way through it ... [​IMG]

    Me neither about getting out, I always wanted to see The Galleria but after the last trip to Dallas I may never get my husband near Dallas again..sigh..

    Ah we only have the eggnog on actual Christmas day.

    Let's hope people don't get that Christmas cold again. Last year I couldn't move on Christmas day, He had to "cook". I was finding Christmas dinner in the freezer for weeks after it. He made a turkey and potatoes and that was it. All the starters and desserts were untouched. Then He and our son had the cold between Christmas and New Year.

    We still enjoyed it though. It's just great to be in the house and not have to travel at this time of the year.

    I'm procrastinating and loitering here to avoid writing the Christmas cards. I purely hate doing them. Last year I used the excuse that I was working in Ireland, to avoid writing them.

    Just do as I do, admit that you won't write Christmas cards, because, if its a chore, it makes no sense doing it.
    Yes, they got over it, same with the gifts. Don't rush around buy something for someone they may, or may not, need and enjoy. Since we all have plenty, we give to the needy and animal charities, and ask friends to give in our name, if they wish to give. Invite your friends and family to help in the soup kitchen ( if you don't have a cold). They do feed you too.
    No hassle, no rushing around, and it helps those in need.

    I got the Christmas cold for Thanksgiving. I'm about over it now, but it sure caused me to start off behind this year! Not only don't have anything wrapped, haven't bought anything to wrap yet! LOL, got my second box of Godiva Chocolates today. Thinking I better start re-gifting or I'll be like Hummingbird and blow up like a ballon over the holidays!! :omg:

    Ugh, cards. Got 'em bought yesterday and got the stamps today... now all I have to do is sit down and write 'em! Maybe tomorrow. ;)
