    OMG! Thank you, KImi! I LUV Don Williams and haven't listened to any of his music in a long time - "You're My Best Friend" is one of his greats.

    When I worked at the Red Cross, every am in my office, I would play his song "Oh Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good" to start my day - lol......

    Oh man! I would be a puddle on the sidewalk! Can't handle that kind of heat........ that's why I luv where I live...... 79 today, which was to hot in the sun, but right now at 12:30 am - and it's my bedtime, it's cool out, 52 w/a nice breeze...... which will be blowing in my bedroom window!

    'mornin, y'all! Back to the grind here. Supposed to be 109 today. Glad to be in the a/c. Um, OT... last night at 9 pm, it was still 98 degrees. Now that's crazy!

    Oh well, summer in Texas... whatchagonnado?

    We should all have a get-together at Bolivar, take the ferry to Galveston, have lunch at Pappados, then ferry back to the beach and watch the waves and enjoy the cool breeze.

    Morning Smarty & Falena. Sure do hope that you guys can stay cool today. It was only 45 this morning and todays high is supposed to be about 77. But I don't think that it will get that high. With the wind it is cold enough to wear a light jacket this morning. and here is the bad news. By monday it is supposed to get down into the high 30's * ducks head *

    You better duck! Only way I'm gonna see the high 30's is to crawl in the freezer!

    It's funny how much difference there is between 100 and 107. When it's 107, you can hardly breathe outside!

    One more month and we'll start to cool off. Hallelujah!!!

    I am betting on a rather hard winter here this year. The past several years the winters here have been really mild and the summers have been hot. Last year we hardly ever got below zero. When 20 below is considered to be normal here and anything above zero is considered to be spring time. So this year I kind of think that we are really gonna catch it.

    We're expecting 107 today. The truck told me yesterday afternoon it was 112 when I started home from work. Our weather man was all excited about the fact that we were "hotter than Death Valley" yesterday. Brutal is all I can say.
