    Actually we are doing quite well. We are starting to get the place ready for winter. I have a feeling that it will come early this year and be a hard one so I am getting a head start on things like covering the windows to conserve heat. Glad you liked the music.

    It's good to hear you both are doing well.

    Whens it start to feel like late fall early winter there? I agree, I think we are gonna have a cold winter. I'm figuring extreme cold swings and a few big storms but not alot of small ones. It seems most times the winters almost follow suit of the summer. So we had super hot weather. 103 with is unheard of here and when it rained we had heavy rain. Not alot of small rain storms or at least not enough to notice.

    My wifes mother was diagnosed with alzheimer and organic brain syndrome at the age of 52. 2 & 1/2 years later she was a vegetable.

    Linda could also inherit that from her mother. There are and have been times when I have lost my patience with my wife, but I have always been able to control it and find out what was going on with her.

    When I think about her mom, I remember that kind sweet person that she was and how everybody used to get so upset with her because she did not understand some things. I refuse to be that way with Linda. The best way I can answer your question it LOVE, KINDNESS AND UNDERSTANDING.

    Im so sorry to hear about your wifes mom and living with the knowledge it could happen to the person you love has to be life changing for a person with heart. You got some serious heart, OTimer.

    Ill carry your advice with me from this day on. That's no bull(*)(*)(*)(*). I appreciate it more than you know. I got 20 years here and sometimes the patience runs thin. The love is always strong and constant. Its that (*)(*)(*)(*) patience thing that need work from time to time. Thanks OTimer

    It can be hard at times I know. But then I will sometimes ask myself how would I want to be treated it it was me. So then I just smile and go back to square one and get to the bottom of the problem so I can take care of it. To often we forget that as we get older it is very easy to get confused and forget things. And it can be so easy to just lose our patience with someone. It is something that I have to work at every day.

    Actually, since Ms. Smartie's departure, our temps have dropped dramatically.
    112 has given way to 95. I passed the hat at Mom's 75th bd party yesterday -- we came up with a boatload o' cash to keep Smartie in all the finest establishments she wishes to stay in on the coast, for as long as she wishes to stay.

    :worship: We dined outside yesterday for the first time since March :worship: all hail SMW

    If she brings us our first rain of 2011, she will be transcended

    Just to the west of town, there is a 16 mile long wildfire that is 0% under control, winds 35 mpg.
    On the north side of town we have a wildfire 30 acres at last count.
    We've lost millions in livestock...expect beef prices to go through the roof in 1-2 years as ranchers sold their calves rather than watch them die of heat and starvation.

    If Smartie brings rain off the coast inland, expect to find my nose firmly planted between her lovely butt cheeks for the remainder of 2011.
