And which fuel source wound that be? Seriously what? Solar? Windmills? What? Nuclear handles a big chunk of infrastructure, but can’t do dick for travel. Electric Jets? EVs are not even in the ball park of replacing gasoline yet. Still basically a luxury vehicle unless it’s a subcompact and that isn’t feasible for anyone with a family. It could be another decade to get EV SUVs down to a reasonable level where it’s mass market, but who knows. With inflation that might not even be possible.

Where did I say "destroy oil"? Replace it as quickly AS POSSIBLE. Republicans - stop dragging your feet. That doesn't mean tomorrow - but the tech
is there, it just needs a 1960's Moon Shot push to put it in place.

It needs more than that. It needs technology that doesn't exist. Well it does exist. It is nuclear energy and we need to embrace it once again until something better arises.

The worst that can happen is energy deficiency. Stopping proven energy sources before the alternatives are ready fails the common sense test. It is like quitting a job before you have another one. I think you misunderstand conservatives. Nobody is against renewable energy. We are against government handling it because we get situations like we have now.

Federal government is working to destroy the oil industry. If you don't see it, you aren't looking. Government abandoned nuclear power. Government pushes a destination that is uncertain because the technology is not ready. Let the move to renewables happen naturally when it should. Stop micro managing things that don't belong in government in the first place. Just as government hurt the economy with covid lockdowns it is hurting it again with the war on oil. Knock it off. The energy sector can handle things just fine.
