If you are wealthy then you are responsible for reparations, the majority of established wealth in America today can be traced back to slavery.

This does not include other nations, they can enact their own laws for reparations. For example Germany pays reparations to the Jews.

 

The soldiers and sailors were benefiting from that, it was better to be a servicemen than a slave in those days. So that is why the work was able to be excluded from normal practices, and they were able to hold better jobs in those days.

In the past being a servicemen was certainly a job of high status, especially when compared to a free laborer.

 

Did you never stop to think that you were denied jobs because you weren't good enough to do them? But I like your argument; that you're happy to accept a handout when it suits you, but not when it benefits someone else. Flawless.

NO I DIDN'T, because I was told by the person in charge at the graduate school that I was the # 1 student in that class of 23. And I mentioned that before. Try to keep up (helps if you read the thread).

Also the handout wasn't when it suited me. It was based on economic need. Missed that too ? A proper basis. Or would you like to say the economic need is not a proper basis ?

When it comes to affirmative action, depending on WHO is providing that data and statistics, it could be accurate, and it could be a pile of crap. What cannot be falsified is this >> Combining AA questionnaires in hiring with an overwhelming (ex. 90-100%) minority (Black & Hispanic) employee staff. Another evidence of AA discrimination is seeing underqualified or completely unqualified minorities holding high rank jobs (ex.Chief of Police)

Compared to the statistics of your eyes and your ears (which don't lie), data is often a joke.

 

It said that soldiers in the early days of America were able to hold prestigious positions in the military instead of working in the fields, because there were slaves to do those jobs while they were away.
