Should every millionaire be treated the way you want him treated?? Why the exceptionalism?? He brought on his own problems. HE is responsible for them and HE is responsible for paying the legal fees.

Trump supporters have elevated him into some kind of exceptional being that does not even have to spend his own money on HIS legal problems??

Really??? And who else would qualify for this special treatment??

False. He isn't responsible for the outlandish and evidenceless claims and witch hunts against him.

Should the government pay Michael Sussman's lawyer fees after Durham's political witch hunt ended in a not guilty verdict?

Sure it was. Durham went after him for "lying" to the FBI, things that Trump pardoned his cronies for lol! Millions of dollars down the drain.

Should the government cut Sussman a check for attorney fees? Or is Trump super special?

It wasn't at all a witch hunt nor could it be argued in a rational manner it was.

Yes it can be argued as such, despite your subjective opinion.

If there was no evidence against Trump, any lawyer worth their salt could have the case thrown out immediately, but here we are with republicans trying to pass bills to pay his legal fees.

    No it can't.

There is no argument that it was, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Nothing you said there makes any sense.

It was a witch hunt. It was started by Trump to investigated political enemies, which is the definition of a witchunt.

Sure it is. Righties said that lying to the FBI isn't a big deal...and then the corrupt Trump administration spent millions of taxpayer dollars to investigate political enemies.

It is true. Trump fired multiple directors for not investigating his political enemies. Trump should pay all fees associated with witch hunts that he started.

I guess they figure if you can go into debt to pay for it, then do that. I think it should be available to everyone, keeping in mind you get what you pay for.

Me? That's hilarious. Your posts are full of so much projection we might as well call you Panasonic. You could teach a master class on it.

    Actually he is.

As a PRIVATE citizen, he is responsible for the words that come out of his mouth. The actions he takes after being POTUS, are on him. His claims that the election was stolen were 100% those of a private citizen. His outlandish BS statements about Fani Willis, and many others were those of a private citizen. But dont worry, the rubes are donating their hard earned money to the “billionaire” so he doesnt have to spend his own money

I think loser should pay. If a suit is brought against Trump, and he prevails, then whomever brought the unsuccessful suit should pay the bills. This would put to an end frivolous and "process as punishment" suits, because there would be substantial monetary risk associated with bringing nuisance lawsuits.

Again - why is Trump special? Should that rule not apply to all?

Lol, why does this not surprise me from the Party that claim "personal responsibility"

On a clearer note Judge Cannon is on the Trump defense "team", so I guess Trump Republicans are getting their wish granted.

Logical conclusion. I'm sure someone will be along and accuse you of projection and it will be tolerated in the thread :)!

Or it is socialism for Trump.

Or it is a hand out for a broke guy who lies about his net worth.

Also, that is not what justice is.

Would be an upgrade in representation in most cases though...
