Hello everybody. Today I'd like to hear from any of you who have suggestions on how we can preserve our society, while overcoming the limitations given to us by nature so that we can live according to our desires. Here are some key subjects that are in desperate need of being stabilized. Not extinguished by rampant traditionalism or left unchecked by overzealous progressivism. • Gender Equality/Gender Roles • Pornography • Social Media Addiction • "Hook Up" Culture • Lack of Religion and Mental Health This is just to name a few. I will add more subjects in time.
1. Dismantle multiculturalism. 2. Dismantle consumer society. 2. Ban Islam in the West for the Nazi totalitarian ideology that it is.
First, we need to lock up religious busy-bodies who want to turn the West into some type of Puritan Mecca wasteland devoid of good porn, exciting hook-ups and intriguing social media connections. Man, I hate those guys.
I have to admit that I feel many individual rights would have to be suppressed in order to achieve pleasurable societal stability. But I also feel it would be worth it.
Religions might be able to stick around. Not all religious people are scum who want to create Western-style Shariah Law. Though I'd prefer creating a list of officially sanctioned mainstream religions only. As well as a government position of state atheism.
Death is the ultimate "stability." What we need is to undo the forces of central statist crony collectivism and its rotten consumerism, and let the innovations of free commerce do the outstanding job of real progress they have been doing since industrial revolution.
If Islam were to be banned, I feel we would have to ban Christianity and Judaism as well. Likely many others. Though these three undermine individual pleasure and authority's human factor. However, as I mentioned above, religions might be able to coexist in a totalitarian, secular society as long as they have nothing to do with how we set government policy.
You got it all backward, buddy. Fix the man, fix the world. If you want to take your cue from someone, listen to the Pope. He has the right message of individual responsibility and personal morality and compassion.
Thanks Surfer Joe. In a way I believe you're correct! Though there are many teachings in the Catholic Church that I am Ideologically opposed to. I will however read about Pope Francis's remarks on the three subjects you mentioned.
Canadians come to the U.S. for healthcare. Americans don't go to Canada for healthcare. Additionally, I saw a stat (about five years ago) stating the survival rates in the U.K. for prostrate cancer are 50%. They're 90% in the U.S. The American system is best. I don't want to wait a year for an MRI. Let's not kill the most advanced health system in the world.
Thank you. I agree. The United States does have one of the most advanced healthcare systems. I wasn't criticizing American healthcare, though. In fact, the United States has the medical expertise to deal with current issues. I'm looking for suggestions on how to create ways we can enjoy ourselves while still maintaining a strong society. For example, here is a website link explaining the negative effects of pornography. http://www.frc.org/issuebrief/the-e...-on-individuals-marriage-family-and-community Unfortunately, the information is very much true. But there must be hope. Beyond simply defaulting to traditional values.
I wish it were. Unfortunately, the facts say otherwise. But we must not sacrifice the entirety of our desires simply to sustain traditionalist's views. We should at least make an attempt to find ways of breaking certain norms we find restrictive, while still preventing the complete collapse of our society. If any of you have more suggestions, or want to ask me any questions, please let me know here or in a private message.
