The Chinese state-owned companies get favorable regulations and lower taxes which make them better able to compete against the free enterprise businesses in their own country and around the world..

This is causing tension for US companies because in a global market place they cannot compete with a government backed business instead of just a business operating under free market rules..

In the future of the United States it will be neccessary to adopt this policy and nationalize some businesses so that they can better be able to compete and help the US government profit so that it can help people on welfare and other social programs.

The sentiment has started but it still has a ways to go before the more fiscal conservative americans agree to it...

it is the future and the only way for US companies to compete in a global market.

    You are very mistaken, liberalminority.

There are other ways to level the playing field besides nationalizing our U.S. corporations. This is not the American way.

Obama tries to nationalize the health care industry. However ,his attempts to do this will be thwarted then the Supreme Court declares Obamacare unconstitutional.

Thanks to the ObamaCare law, an astonishing 85 million people will soon be enrolled in Medicaid (or the children's version of it) by 2014 -- nearly a third of all Americans below 65. And what about "shared sacrifice"? The Obama health law imposed plenty of sacrifice on seniors and baby boomers: It slashed funding for Medicare by $500 billion over the next decade. It uses those "savings" to pay for two entitlements: a huge increase in Medicaid enrollment and new subsidies for middle-income Americans (families earning up to $88,000 a year) to pay for private health care plans Unfortunately, when push comes to shove, even this amount will not be sufficient to cover all of these millions of new enrollees!

We do have state-owned companies already. Or you could say that we have a company-owned state. Yeah, that's better.

I think its a very good concept; it'll give us equal footing with some of the other countries in the world who nationalize business. Might even help to reduce taxes long run.

It might even help those of us in the private sector as well particularly if the government jobs provide traditional medical/pension benefits; I could force other company's to provide like benefits in order to be able to compete for the brightest and newest workers.

Or...we end up with Freddie and Fannie.

It is already the government and their partners of choice versus their competition. Government has the benefit of the power to create the laws, regulations, and spend the money as they choose. People do not even care that the federal reserve, the basis for our entire economy, is privately owned and operated, but they rail on about other random corporations (who already pay off the politicians and receive their power and handouts from the government).

I believe you are mistaken, NetworkCitizen.

The Federal Reserve has been roundly criticized lately.

"The Federal Reserve is under fire after it revealed it gave a big chunk of its multi-trillion dollar Wall Street bailout money to companies not based on Wall Street -- or even in the United States."

"Among the questions Sanders said must be asked: Has the Federal Reserve of the United States become the central bank of the world?"

"Republican critics say the dual mandate is pushing the Fed to embrace potentially harmful stimulus measures to jumpstart job creation – specifically, a new round of so-called "quantitative easing." Critics worry the Fed's moves will lay the foundation for higher inflation, a weaker dollar and global economic instability".

    Check this out.

The Chinese have found a formula that makes American companies uncompetitive. Not that they weren't already.

I imagine the effect on the American psyche as more and more Chinese companies land on American soil will be traumatic.

It's one thing to owe them a (*)(*)(*)(*)load of money from afar. It's another to see them invade you.

But, of course, many American companies produce in China. Not that the Chinese care or notice.

But the American psyche is more fragile.

I don't mind folks walking through. Eventually, the citizens of China will not accept their predicament, I just think its ridiculous that folks want bondage that their descendants will someday have to escape.

These idiots actually think that it will benefit the citizenry.

Oh......I see. You think I am one of these other mindless nationalist running around here. Not so much. However, to reduce the pressure of the thumb on my head, strengthening the central government is not exactly my top priority.

I don't share the fear of business that others may.

You clearly have not been made aware of the Chinese philosophy of continuous self-improvement. They got the idea from the Japanese.:-D

Thus their small presence is merely a sign of better things to come.

agreed the republicans make it seem that China has nationalized all companies and that is simply not true.

this will take the place of unions in the US where government run companies force the private enterprise to increase benefits to the workers.

those are not state owned, they do not operate under the direction of the US government..

the profits from those companies don't go to funding government programs for instance.
