California's "Don't say straight" bill tells people that if you don't capitulate to the whims of a child, the state could take your child. They aren't even hiding it anymore. They are literally coming after your children.

California is not a safe place to raise children... for many reasons. This bill merely codifies the insanity to which the state has moved.

From the mouth of babes... or delusional geriatrics.

She was going to lose her daughter in two years anyway.

This is a huge overstep by a government. I think it’s child abuse to give them life altering drugs and surgeries. California is one messed up **** hole

That’s not true. They may have gotten help for her mentally. They may have agreed to her ways. You don’t know how those two years would have went. The state denied her that opportunity either way.

If they would have treated her mental illness, she'd probably be here today. Affirming mental illness is merely kicking the can down the road!

Trans isn't mental illness. That attitude is why the mother lost her daughter. She would have lost her daughter even if the state didn't step in to help the daughter.

    The state helped the daughter.

    Our kids aren't our property.

Trans people have a massive battle they are dealing with mentally, hence the monstrous suicide rate. Not treating the whole system and merely affirming it is NOT TREATING the issue. Your solution is to ignore the mental health crisis and merely say "They would have committed suicide anyway"... You'd fit in perfectly in California.

They surely aren't the states property!

Yea, parents not accepting who someone is can have a really bad impact on mental health.

They surely are the responsibility of the parent's and not the state!

Her son would probably be alive if she had been more accepting.

They are considered the property of the parent. Hate to burst your bubble and the state upholds that standard. The parent or guardian is responsible for the child’s well-being in all states until the age of 18. That means they are responsible for feeding, clothing, and taking care of the child by law. Refusing to accept a kids desires that are not life threatening has never been one of those punishments. Now it seems it may have.

Personally I’m okay with the state taking morons and bunching them all into state living. It’s a lesser life in many ways. That kid will now go home to home with no parents, just fake parents that will never care like they did. The decision of that kid will haunt him/her/it for the rest of the 2 years and likely will come out as a drugged up moron

Or if the state not intervened, her daughter would be with her loving mother today.

No, her son would have probably killed himself much earlier.

yes, those predators cannot make their own children, so they are hunting for other people's children.

Such a sad story. California has become a dystopic hellscape.

Promoting psychosis by passing insane laws. So sad.

Peter McCullough on Substack has published numerous articles regarding the sad misfortune of those poor confused children who've undergone the mutilation of bodies and minds. So very sad.

Yes because they belong to the state. Imagine parents thinking they have the right to raise their children the way they think they should

    They don't "belong" to anyone.
