Even groups generally opposed to the right have started to raise alarms about the growing thirst for violence on the left.

"I think we're in a time when we can’t ignore the extremism from the Left," said Oren Segal, the director of the Center on Extremism, an arm of the Anti-Defamation League. Over the past few months, the ADL, which hosts regular seminars on homegrown extremism for law enforcement officials, has begun warning of the rising threat posed by far-left groups, most recently at a seminar just this past Sunday. "When we have anti-fascist counterprotests that can ratchet up the violence at these events, and it means we can see people who are violent on their own be attracted to that," Segal said. "I hate to say it, but it feels inevitable."
    ...
Left-wing extremism, of course, is nothing new. Groups like the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers have deep roots, and in the years after 9/11, Segal says, the largest source of extremist violence was from the Left: eco-terrorists and animal rights activists.

Levin says that we're seeing a ratcheting up of political violence by the left (which, he claims, is mirroring that of the right-- bullshit, of course) and that "nobody gives a ****."

Of course they don't, if you mean the media. The media has fomented leftist violence and made excuses for it after-the-fact at every turn.

No, it doesn't, and gratuitous remarks like that only call your own credibility into question.

Do I really have to shove a picture of Kathy Griffin posing in a mock beheading of Trump in your face to show that I'm not just repeating talking points? How about a photo of the mock execution of Trump in the Julius Caesar finale, which was praised by several figures at CNN? How about the raw hatred expressed by the moral pygmies who have openly declared their desire to see Trump killed?

How am I supposed to take you seriously after a ludicrous comment like that? If you don't think that's deranged there's something wrong with you. That's NOT legitimate criticism. That's NOT debating policy. That's NOT offering constructive alternatives.

    Good grief...

Guess what? I didn't vote for Trump in the GOP primaries, either - I thought there were more qualified candidates than him but you don't see me losing control of myself over the man. There's a big difference between having and expressing differences with a politician than losing your **** over them. The former is not a syndrome, but the latter is. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less what other people think of the man and his policies, and I learned a long time ago that a lot of the people who think they're smarter than the people who voted for him aren't smarter because they're too stupid to realize that opinion and intelligence are two different things. That goes for group consensus and intelligence, too. Nevertheless, I would agree that if a person is going to act like an immature child, behave like a dishonest or hateful idiot and engage in acts of violence then they'd better be ready to handle the criticism they deserve.

I wasn't talking about Kathy Griffin. I wasn't talking about Julius Caesar. Why do you have to bring them up and quote me?

And yes, when Trump acts like an immature child and behaves like a dishonest and hateful idiot, some of us will call him out on it. Get used to it. It will keep happening as long as he keeps disgracing the office with his crude, ignorant behavior.

PS - hi Libby! I know you're still watching me and liking every post from one of your fellow Trump lovers denigrating me. Just follow my posts - it will be a lot easier on you.

What difference does it make if its Kathy Griffin, the producers of the Julius Caesar play, the "progressive" moral pygmy who lives next door or some butthurt Ted Cruz supporter?

This is your post, isn't it?:

    I know for a fact I wasn't responding to someone else's post.

In case you didn't notice, I made a point of differentiating between the Kathy Griffins and the people who calmly and rationally express reasonable, legitimate criticisms of Trump and his policies and offer constructive alternatives to those policies.

Like I said, I don't care. I didn't support Trump in the primaries because I have my own legitimate and reasonable criticisms of the man and his policy, but I don't feel compelled to sink to the level of his hateful and oft-dishonest opponents.

Did you just call me a "Trump lover"?

And what's the problem with libby agreeing with the comments in my posts - you can't handle opinions that don't necessarily agree with your own?

The only thing we've gotten used to is you all making fun of his hair. Or his skin color. Or his small hands. It's normally something that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. He's doing the things he promised us he would. I know right? Surprise!

I didn't mention Kathy Griffin or Julius Caesar. Why do you keep missing that? And why do you keep mentioning them to me? You brought them up to me, and I have no idea why.

Libby has me on ignore. She made a dramatic pronunciation of that the other day. I find it amusing that she's still hanging on my every word, and liking every post that is a response to one of mine.

I didn't make fun of his hair, his skin color, or his small hands. Who is "you all"?

No, he promised you a wall that Mexico would pay for, extreme vetting, a new healthcare plan, and to lock up Hillary Clinton. He's done none of those things. None.

And so, to be fair, you should have said:
He's done none of those things. Yet.

Working on it, don't you fret. Already took care of the TPP, which was a big promise to uphold. Proud of him. ;)

Because now your life has improved dramatically over what it was before he "took care of TPP"? That's one of the reasons you voted for him, I gather. Details on how it improved your life, I'm curious.

And of course you could have pointed out to that poster who said "He's doing the things he promised us he would" by admitting he hasn't delivered on any of his major promises, and hasn't moved an inch on any of them, but why be honest, right?

He could have had extreme vetting in already. He knows more about ISIS than the generals, and only needed 90 days. That long passed. He can have Hilary charged any time he wants to. But he already said he wouldn't. He has gotten exactly nowhere with the wall. He had a great healthcare plan that covered everyone, except the dozens of millions it didn't. Shall I go on?

He was not up for the job. Many of us knew it a year ago. Some of you know it now but won't admit it. And the others are too invested in the liberal reality TV star to even realize it.

Fwiw if someone is on ignore you don't even see who they are responding to. I have about 6 idiots on ignore which results in me reading a lot of odd one way posts.

Oh I know that. I find it quite amusing that the person who made her cry (me) gets an acknowledgement from her with every post directed at me. So much for ignoring my existence.

I kinda feel bad for tres right now. They got reduced to a Dancing Monkey by Talon, then you danced them right into a cage.

I want to laugh, but it's too sad.
No no, you've misunderstood, again. The "improvement" in in our economic future, as in America's economic future. These other countries want to finally get on the bandwagon and do something about their emission levels then fine, awesome, welcome to the party, about damn time.

AND, I expect them to pay for their efforts just like we did ours. Hell we've already done the R&D and implemented so many different measures, the rest of the world has a lot of catching up to do.

So, short answer, more money in our future.

We were talking about Griffin, et al, before that post, and it really doesn't matter if you mentioned them in specific because they're not the only people behaving in a deranged manner.

I'm trying to be fair here. I have repeatedly made a deliberate point of distinguishing between the reasonable and the deranged in this conversation. For example, I find Trump's position on the Kelo ruling appalling, and I still agree with Rand Paul's comments on the matter:

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/24/real-conservatives-stand-for-private-property/

We all can disagree with Trump and most of us have from time to time, but the vitriol doesn't contribute anything constructive to the discussions.

I was unaware of that, but in libby's defense, we do agree on a lot of things and the likes I have received from her have not been limited to the responses to your posts.

    Not true.
First, he beat Hillary. Further, Gorsuch sits on the bench.
Those two things are why I voted for him.

It's sad that I don't lie about accomplishments President Trump doesn't have? Okay, if you say so.

My money was always on our future. Unlike President Trump and his devoted followers, I never thought America ceased being great. That's why I didn't get suckered by a liberal reality TV host into thinking I need him to save my existence. I guess you did. Now that is sad.

Hell I've long said that it doesn't even need to be a physical wall, a proactive, enforced border control policy would be just as good.

Gorsuch was an accomplishment, and a big one. I enthusiastically supported his appointment and appreciate the idiocy of Harry Reid and the leadership of Mitch McConnell for ensuring he was appointed to replace the judge I respected most on SCOTUS.

I didn't want Hillary either. That's why I didn't vote for her. I also didn't vote for Trump. I don't vote for lifelong liberals who supported gun control and single payer.
