Yet another all-too-familiar tale that the "fun with guns" crowd prefers to ignore:

    Not at all.
"...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The law always means more than the opinion of anybody.

There are more children killed in car accents. The frequency of children being shot by police is far far less. I'd be concerned with the greater threat.

There is no appeal to ignorance of the law in the first clause.

No your arguing a point that nobody, including the founders agree with.

The only ones being ignorant ate the ones saying that the second amendment doesn't state that the right cannot be infringed upon.

That was what our Founding Fathers wrote; until relatively recently, and only by appealing to ignorance of the first clause.

You are confusing natural rights with what is necessary to the security of a free State. States secure natural rights in State Constitutions and are available via Due Process.

The Bible says "thou shalt not kill." Unless you are a retarded idiot with an IQ in single digits, you realize that it is possible for someone to kill you. My point?

When a law is broken, there is always a method of redress. And, while the Supreme Court may have unilaterally declared itself the final arbiter of what the law is, it is an extremely hollow statement. For even the United States Supreme Court has opined that NO ONE is bound to obey an unconstitutional act.

The Second Amendment is unequivocal in its meaning. Just a couple of days ago an Appeals Court ruled that Americans have a "right" to own the kinds of weapons that are so unpopular with anti - gun advocates.

I know some folks like to claim that they are ignorant of the law and we cannot appeal to their ignorance, so why do they keep proclaiming such ignorance as if it meant something?

There is no process necessary to exercise an unalienable Right.

The bible isn't part of the constitution.

    Yep.

Good. The constitution isn't there to protect liberties that people don't find objectionable. It's too protect all liberties. If you object, that is your right, and I'll defend to the death your right to object.

Keep proclaiming? I only made one post and in that I never proclaimed any ignorance.

Perhaps you have me confused with somebody else.

States' rights must also be factored for. And, our Second Amendment does factor for it.

All of that may have a meaning to you, but certainly not to the rest of us. My cause is Liberty. You've never stated yours. You've only proclaimed how ignorant of the law you are.

Finally unalienable Rights are above the law. States cannot give you what you already had.
