I guess in their lofty minds the esteemed Supreme Justices would like Universities to be restored more or less towards the "dignity" of the bottom picture...and less like the "rabble" in the top picture. They may not wear their MAGA hats in public but their MAGA swords are thrusting from under the table.

Clarence needn't worry, of course...they'll make sure their boy is well fed with caviar scraps and sleeps in the finest of silks.

Calling a sitting black supreme court justice "boy". It is really weird how the left is able to get away with overt racial slurs and still have the balls to call other people racist. The right is able to criticize black leaders they object to without using racial slurs, it would be nice if the left could as well.

Does this Supreme Court ruling mean colleges and universities can't discriminate against too White appearing Asians anymore? I'm confused. Who gets to be a minority these days?

Being non-white isn't good enough. You have to be an underachieving non-white. That's what counts. The left despises Asians because they make their racism mantra look bad.

You're making it up. The thing about Asians, is that the US gets a heck of a lot of Asian immigrants who are wealthy. And them lot buy themselves into the college's at the expense of low in come black people who have been historically discriminated into that poverty. It is the fastest growing group of immigrants, and more of them immigrate from Asia than from Latin America for over a decade now. "build that wall" har har...

They ended racism. At least in college selection.

Think about the term "diversity hire" that only exists because of affirmative racism.

You are unfamiliar with what AR is? It's designed to discriminate that's why the supreme court ruled against it.

Or maybe it's because there is some far right shadow government ruling the world.

    Lol

Racism on the left is definitively getting out of control. Don’t be black and disagree with the left these days…if you do the white leftists will take your black card lol.

They don’t buy their way in, they outperform others and get in. You are simply seeing what you want to see.

so you’re saying black and brown people are too stupid to get into universities on their own?

That would be a very racist viewpoint to have. No surprise, you want a very racist and unconstitutional AA to be the “solution”.

oh well. Too bad for you

I don't appreciate your racist reference to Justice Thomas as "Boy".

'Do you approve or disapprove of Supreme Court's ruling on affirmative action?
    • White: 65% approve, 23% disapprove
    • Hispanics: 45%-30%
    • Blacks: 43%-36%'

Not only do you have an extremely narrow partisan view, but, you call a Black Supreme Court Justice "Boy"? I wish more of the Left would return to their senses and get over their divisive racial hatred.

The simple fact is the SC ruled that we have laws against discrimination based on race and it's really quite telling that we had three Supreme Court justices rule that colleges should be able to violate the law against discrimination based on race. The easy solution for the left is just to change the laws so that it is OK to to discriminate based on race.

So making sure the brightest gets the opportunity to succeed is worse than making sure we forgo merit to appease the less achievable. Race should never be front and center over merit.

well two of the three were quota picks. Kagan may have been a sop to the gay lobby. I know she hasn't come out but I had two Harvard law guys I mentored-one was apolitical, the other was a hard core Obama supporter and was an Obama pick for a US Attorney position, and both referred to her as "Gaygan" Sotomayor was picked for being a latina and Jackson was fulfilling Biden's promise of a black female. None of them were anywhere near the best pick available

I do believe there is a world that exists where you can have both. I agree that affirmative action should not be about making race front and center.

However that’s what it turned into. You did see that Asian kids qualifications did you not? His merit was superseded by racial affirmative action. If you are against what the court ruled you are advocating that his denial was just.

They were great picks for the woke, inclusive left. As far as ruling based on laws and the Constitution, not so much. Feelings are more important to them than the laws.
