Hey, gotta take the avatars as they come. I don't know what you're getting at though, perhaps because I'm waiting too eagerly for another pearl of wisdom from Dr. Hillbilly.

I hope not, I'd love to see Cain be the nom. If you wanna run for president, you need to be in all the debates, IMO. Otherwise you look like a sissy.

Do you really think he could get anything done? He has no experience at all in the substance of politics. Being a CEO is one thing, but in a company you don't have to make all your employees agree with you every time you open a restaurant or change a price. And you certainly don't have to face threats of violence from competing pizza joints.

He projects very powerful "energy". I think he'll sway America to follow him.

Thats one of his advantages. He hasn't been bought.

I'd rather elect a CEO then a "community organizer" whatever the hell that is.

This isn't true. Don't Italian mobsters run a ton of pizza places?

Cain is not going to win the republican nomination. Romney will win N.H. but once it gets to the south Rick Perry will pull it out. Christie would be lucky to win in N.J. if the election were held today, so count him out. Although Perry sounds bad at times during the debates, He also gets more applause than anyone else. This race is far from over and he may be new to the national scene he will surely learn from his mistakes and get better with each debate. I think the democrats fear him more than any of the other people running. Perry has the Tea Party and the cristians on his side which is a force for sure. More than any of the others have got. The press seems to be against Perry. This comming from a Liberal

more deep thoughts from the left. We should start calling the Dems the party of YES, rubber stampers.

You need 500 million for a solar company....YES... rubber stamp
500 billion for stimulas 3.0........................YES... rubber stamp
750 billion for stimulas 2...........................YES... rubber stamp
    TARP slush fund......................................YES... rubber stamp
Obamacare for a trillion.............................YES... rubber stamp

He has the Christian Right for sure....I wouldn't be so sure that he is a TEA party darling...acceptable, yes...but I doubt their first choice. (just a guess on my part, having actually been to TEA rallies where he was a speaker).

I thought Bachman had the Tea Party support until Perry entered the race and her numbers dropped as Perry moved to the top. I just assumed the Tea Party moved over to Perry. Silly Me.

It is really sad that a loosely fascist theocrat took up the banner of the Tea Party. Until then, I had really been hoping for something special. I suppose Perry's an improvement, but I'd bet 10 bucks he's another Bush (which would make him rather indistinguishable, actually, from Obama-in-practice).

Let's just pretend it's Obama v. Cain a year from November. Think of all the heads that are going to explode.

Yes, I can see liberal heads exploding if they're not able to use the race card to defend their dear leader.

Somehow I don't think the amount of applause a politician receives is indicative of whether or not he/she is going to win the election; most people are more interested in the candidates position on the issues.

Probably so, but it's about time republicans get to play the race card, you know since the left has pretty used every chance they got.

I think that such an election would be a historic occasion and one to watch with admiration and not a little bit of glee as it would finally put a stake through the heart of the "racist" image of the GOP.

Cain is just another substanceless politician who has never expressed a complex thought. He just repeats trite right wing cliches, and people lap them up!! The problem is he never actually says anything of substance. He is like Obama in that respect. That is actually good campaign strategy. If you can talk without actually saying anything, but make that substanceless talk sound nice, you have a decent chance. Cain's problem is he isn't charismatic enough. Presidential politics is about political discipline and charisma/likability. Cain doesn't have the second, so he will not be the candidate.

PS. I don't understand how people who like Paul could also like Cain. I dislike Paul, but there is at least some substance there. He actually says things other than meaningless right wing talking points, Cain never does.

Don't 'mis-underestimate' the propensity of the left to slap the 'Uncle Tom' label on Cain and have it stick because of the racist media in this country.
