Why do liberal Democrats hate the Tea Party so much?

It's because unlike the GOP establishment Republicans in Washington who talk about fiscal responsibility but never do it the Tea Party really means it.

They want to reduce the size of government and that drives libs crazy.

If thats true then why do they not cut the military? Why do they not regulate big business? Why do they openly attack the working man? They are nazis, and deserve whatever happens to them.

When I was a kid I dreamed of going to CA, the possibilities were incredible and it seemed like I was (Mr) Dorothy my ole basset was toto and we were ready to go to the golden CA OZ….Now I am afraid to go there, south LA seems like another nation thanks to uber liberal immigration or non enforcment policies I suppose. I am not racist but I do not want to learn to speak a third language to appease anyone. Didn’t the housing bubble start in CA?

The jobs seem to have gone away much faster than in the rest of our nation. Lastly one more rant; I detest Arnold and his hypocritical rule, but don’t know much about CA politics except that they went bankrupt. Don’t get me wrong I would love to visit, even south LA! I love the culture and would like to visit northern CA to exchange gardening notes…ha ha ~

Really there was a time CA near seemed recession proof and immune to all that stuff…ahhh’ the good ole days~ now where do the young kids dream of going off to? Back home with dad that’s where!

The military is only 20% of the federal budget.

It will get its share of cuts but that still leaves the other 80% that libs do not want to touch.

The Tea Party does not attack the working man.

You mean government employees who hold useless jobs or the non-working man who wants his unemployment check to continue for a few more years.

But never people who do useful work.

    Sure.

If you mean direct subsidies such as payments to ethanol producers or the so-called green energy companies like Solyndria the answer is yes.

Just like we should not be paying poor people through income redistribution schemes like the EITC.

Or giving federal money to private organizations like NPR, Planned Parenthood or ACORN.

There are many forms of welfare that need to be cut along with corporate welfare.

Gee, you might want to remind President Obama that "The public wasn't buying the bully act." You know, before he gets too far down that "marching" path. Before he goes too far backing vicious bullies like Trumka.

    What an amusing thread...

T-Baggers have barked and howled about winning Congressional seats a year ago...and so they should. It was an impressive showing. But that was a year ago.

    Today?
    http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.co...low-new-gallup-poll/politics/2011/08/10/25290
    Not so much...

There are a number of reasons for this nose-dive, but I believe the root-cause of this is plain old IMMATURITY...and in some cases, blatant stupidity.

The reactionary bent of this movement was "sexy" to some at the time. They appeared to be strong and united by a real cause. Plus, after GW had essentially buried the Republican brand...the Tea Party was the only viable game in town for many far-right faithful.

The leaders of this movement have proven themselves to be...excuse my bluntness but...BAT-(*)(*)(*)(*)-CRAZY! The only rational one of the bunch is one of their original high-profile supporters Ron Paul. But he's now shunned by most and dismissed. Maybe he's not "sexy" enough. He doesn't colour his hair, and he certainly doesn't wear sexy cloths and hosiery. Unfortunately...he's the only one who speaks the truth. The only one who makes any sense at all. The only one who doesn't suffer from extreme hoof-in-mouth disease. Maybe Ron Paul should just come out and say some really abrasive and dumb crap...maybe then the T-Faithful will take notice of him again?

But that's doubtful...as with all "fads", this one is fading almost as fast as it rose. The "sexy" deep-blue jeans that were as tight and unabashed as one's own skin, are now fraying at the edges and being over-taken by the comfotable and reasonable old standards...

    ...LEE and LEVIS.

Oh well...at least men will once again be able to sit without crushing their own balls...

they overplayed their hands and accidently woke up that 'sleeping giant' that is Middle America, and that terrifies them. They know when Middle America sets its mind on something, we always win...and that spells the end of their Progressive dream. They will have to go back into hiding for more decades and hope we fall asleep again.

    prove it.

prove that default would have ended the world as we know it....AND prove that your little Democrats wouldn't have caved and let us have the cuts we need to balance our budgets.

If we had defaulted it would have been the Democrats fault just as much as the Republicans (there IS no "Tea Party" block in Congress, it isn't an official party)

    ROTF!!

yeah, that's what they've been saying from day one...that the Tea Party is a passing fad. You go on believing it, I know you need to for your own peace of mind..

by the way, if the Tea Party is so hated, and so disapproved of...how exactly is it 'controlling' Congress? could you explain that one to me? How does a fringe group of 'crazy people' run BOTH houses and the Presidency?

    hmmm...

(hint: you might not want to put all your hopes in 'polls' by the MSM...just sayin')

and leave Clinton out of this, yes, he does like to bark but he has less power than the Tea Party has!

If you're a parent...or even if you've experienced the joy that is watching an infant have a fit...then you know that you'll do just about anything to get the kid to stop so that you can get something accomplished.

The same goes for the T-Party I'm afraid. They scream and kick and make such a deafening ruckus that they seem to be getting their way...I SUSPECT so that the adults can hear themselves think.

Cute that you people have taken to using an acronym for Main Stream Media...a RATIONAL person would pay attention to polls...but in your defense, I bet its hard to focus on polls and such complex ideas, when you're busy rolling about on the Congress floor in a fit of pre-pubecent howling.

The problem with the T-Party is it's become a destructive political force, and as you people mature, you will begin to realize that it was a good idea run into the ground by miss-management and immaturity.

In the mean time...please continue to wail things like,
"ALL ENTITLEMENTS MUST GO! Except Social Security...and maybe Medicaid and Medicare...OH and my brother just got laid-off, so lets leave Unemployment alone for a while..."

    It really has gotten amusing...

Did Obama and the older libs tell you that?

    They are liars.

The Tea Party wanted to offset the debt limit increase with spending cuts so that we con't end up like Greece.

The Tea Party are middle America.

Democrats and the liberal news media hate the Tea Party and constantly tell lies about them but I would not put too much stock in the idea that America believes those lies.

I have scissors at the ready. I'm willing to cut until even I start complaining. Then I'll cut some more just to make a point.

The MSM will drone on about the Tea Party as they keep losing viewers and stop reading their papers. Their ideological campaign to help elect socialists like Obama has become so obvious that even long time Democrats are getting it. Even the Baby Boomers who were once Hippies are starting to figure it out that at some point everything has to balance out. And when we are running at a deficit of 14T we have obviously gone in the wrong direction. We will have to try the opposite of stupidity and see how that works out.
