Anyone surprised? I doubt it. 8 of the worst states are blue, one is red and another is purple. I guess this is why so many retiree’s vote Republican. Because they realize dems are out to take their retirement money to dole it out to others.

That is not quite accurate. There are many swamp dwellers, who live unnaturally long life spans and their environment remains entact, protected by law. Like the Florida Republican state oligarchy. No reason to vote in Florida, since 2000, since no Floridian really believes all the votes get counted.

worst place to start a buisness due to no other industry other than gaming

My Aunt was paying over $8000 a year in property taxes in Connecticut.

Just because there are more VOTING republicans in a state, does not mean the whole state is republican. Especially since in a good year, half of the population votes. Take Texas for instance. If everyone here voted, we would be one democratic ass state. With all the people of mexican descent, and Austin, we would be bluer than the sky.
