YES. All due respect vanity, but where were you for the last 6 years, let alone the entirety of Bill Clintons presidency? This game was invented and perfected by the right. There have always been political sides, and political theatre, but when Bill Clinton came into office the right started an entirely new game with entirely new tactics. And all of it driven by their complete and total disdain for Bill Clinton and nothing else. If he went to the bathroom in the White House they claimed he was “pissing on the history of the White House”.

Then when Hillary took office they started in on her. They have taken the game to a new level. Look, I’m NOT a Hillary fan but what they did to her took politics to a very new low. The made accusation after accusation, and investigated her relentlessly for 6 years. They did that for one reason and one reason only, as the front runner for the Democratic Party they had to take her down. I was all in for the first 2, maybe 3 investigations of Benghazi, but it became farce in the 4th, 5th, 6,th 7th, and 8th. And those last 5 had a simple purpose, not to convict her, but to plant the seed that made her the “bad candidate” that we had today.

Hell Vanity, their still investigating her to distract from whats happening in their own party. Their investigating her for “uranium One”, a deal she had absolutly no power in. Think about that Vanity, she had no power, authority, or ability to push the deal and their STILL trying to make it about her.

And I’m sure that you and many other will read the above and claim I’m defending HIllary, but I’m not. It’s a condimantaion of the political theatre DESIGNED AND IMPLIMNETED by the right.

I don’t disagree. That is the world we live in today, and I agree it’s disgusting. But on some level the right has to take come credit for their role in creating this beast. These kids today on the left who shout down public speech should have the asses handed to them for what they are doing. If you don’t like speech, come up with your own, don’t stomp the other guys rights out because you dont like what hes saying.

But you also have to give Fox News some of the credit for the level of discourse we have today. They completely changed the game of politics in this country today. They do a masterful job of disguising ideology as “News”. They deserve most of the credit for turning idealogic bent into mental fact without qualm for its validity.

The religious right sealed their own fate when they gave Trump their “passes”. It’s a game of equal standards, and when you change the level of equality, your no longer valid in the debate. It’s that simple. The “religious right” giving Trump a pass for his accused infidelities after what they did to Bill Clinton, and then when they went after Hillary as an “enabler” to Bills infidelities sealed their own fate.

You sound like a religious person and I respect your right to that. Your faith is personal and something you carry with you as a personal badge of honor and I can completely respect that. So don’t misconstrue my disdain for the religious right who decides their faith based on politics first and religion second. And thats what the media is doing here

I HATE hipocrisy with a passion. And what we see from the religious right, and the political right is just that. The media pointing that out isn’t the problem, the hipocrisy is the problem. This nation became and embarrassment in 2000 when Fox News fought all the way to the SCOTUS for the right to lie and call it “news”. We as a nation sat back and did nothing then, and today we listen to the “news” and swallow it hook line and sinker. It IS an embarrassment to intelligence, but one we brought on ourselves

I do like to distinguish between actions that entail personal risk vs those that entail risk to others.

This is not to say that I am arguing against letting a 16 yr old buy a firearm (or arguing for it) .... just wishing to make this distinction.

For certain though ... if someone at 18 is old enough to risk their life by going to war . ... they are old enough to risk harm by drinking alcohol.

Our current law in this respect is an anathema to individual liberty, the Constitution, Rule of Law... and sanity in general.
