    Kim Wong Ark decision refers to LEGAL immigrant parents, not illegal immigrant parents.

    His parents were LEGALLY domiciled in the US at the time of his birth making him a citizen. It was the correct decision.

    It should have zero bearing on ILLEGAL immigrants having kids here and then becoming US citizens. Zero.

    I mean I can read the details of the case. Why can't others?

    Legally domiciled does not mean illegally domiciled. So why the farce?

    It was written to make the slaves and their children citizens thus giving them the right to vote it was not written to encourage people to come here uninvited. Is that clear enough for you?

    Read the law.. It has NOTHING to do with legal or illegal.. If a baby is born on US soil, its a US citizen from birth.

    American kids are born all over the world every day to American parents and the are US citizens from birth (natural born) ... The parents register the birth at the nearest US consulate.

    Have you ever been out of the US?

    I think you might be reading it in reverse Tom.

    He is not saying that jurisdiction hinges on your ability to vote...he is saying the ability to vote is missing because of no political jurisdiction. He was using it as an example to explain what jurisdiction is and is not, which is the point of his article.

    It does, you would prefer it not too. It's all about INTERPRETING things. Some want to interpret it to mean one things, others another.

    Your very narrow definition of jurisdiction is what makes you think you are correct.

    Yes ive been to the far east. Japan , the Philippines and Okinawa. I spent a year in those places most of it in Japan

    That's a lie.. It did NOT take an act of Congress to make McCain a US citizen from birth. All it took was to educate some of those halfwits in the Senate and Congress.
