Texas woman charged with threatening to kill judge overseeing Trump’s federal election interference

This woman is basically everything that comes to mind when I try to picture what a Trump supporter must be like. Hate blacks? Check. Hate gays? Check. Willing to commit violence to get her way? Check.

I can’t wait for her fellow trump supporters to come in here and tell us all about how this poor woman is being treated unfairly.

Bingo! Why would anyone want to associate themselves with this image, of an obviously low-intelligence, bigoted, lawless piece of trash, leaving threats on a judge's voicemail? How many respondents will we see who won't apparently understand that "Freedom of speech," does not cover, threatening to kill government officials, in an attempt to intimidate them from doing their job, in an impartial way?

 

One would think that a psych evaluation is long overdue.

Anything said on the House or Senate Floor cannot be used in a court of law, especially in those one minute speeches that no one really pays attention to. But then again, you may want to post a link that has an actual quote, in which Schumer made that statement.

 

How much you really want to make a bet that someone close to her heard something and said something pointing the direction at her unless she was stupid enough to give her name on the voicement.

 

I would imagine her defense attorney will argue for that in the best hopes to minimize jail time.

 

Schumer made the mistake then by saying it on the steps of the Supreme Court... So, cooliio.. when do you expect that he will be charged?

 

There will always be people who do stupid things, and this one ranks right up there.

Here is a website that talks about who the defendant is. From the website, the defendant is a resident of Alvin, Texas, which is near Houston. And from the website, "Shry has a history of being charged four times in the last year for acting in a similar manner. This background included at least two situations where she was found guilty and sentenced to a 30-day jail term." The website also provided more detail of the complaint, which I am not sure it is in the OP's link. This is what she said in the voicemail, "If Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly. You will be targeted personally, publicly, your family, all of it." She is facing one charge of threat with intent to injure another person, which carries a maximum jail sentence of five years.

So yet another life is ruined over false accusations, and those that perpetuate such falsehoods are obstinate about their role in the ruining of that woman's life.

Does anyone really believe people who make those threatening/violent statements regret it? Their apologies are usually hollow and recommended by the their attorneys, HR departments and the like. Personally, I think what comes out of their mouths at that particular moment is exactly what they meant to say with no regret or remorse; but that’s just me.
