    That is because you haven't actually read the full trail of comments, which don't have anything to do with whether gun rights are right or wrong, but are about whether laws are based upon reason or not, I believe they are where as another poster cited the magazine restriction law as one that is not based upon reason.

    They can have them, they just aren't protected by the 1st or 4th Amendments.

    Not true, any device used for a protected Civil Right is included, a Pen is, if you use it to stab People, you are then prosecuted for the act of injuring another Person, not a reason to ban pens.
