Social security is drawn by the people who earn it. It's not a scicalist scheme, it's not drawn by bums, it's drawn by people who have paid into it over the course of their working lives.

You cannot successfully defend anything you say. Now, go ahead, prove that social security somehow ties future generations into some sort debt entrapment: like Iraq, and Vietnam, and out of control Republican borrowing from foreign countries to cover up all of the welfare programs for the corporates and the 1% in this country.

Well if the Feds caused the first one, they also caused this one and here is how.



It was caused by their policies and regulations. Government, more than anyone brought this economy down. It started with creating NAFTA and Free Trade without any minimum wage requirement or environmental laws for them and then put pressure on lending institutions to lend money for homes to people who couldn't afford it. Then they blew the lid off the whole economy by changing the law that held banks in check ever since the Great Depression, preventing banks from getting into risky derivatives and home loans and then failed to monitor them, knowing the risk in doing so.

So if you want to put the blame where it really belongs, put it on your own government that so many seem to want to hand it all over to.

There was never a SS Trust Fund from Day 1. Democrats said there was such a fund to the public, but they lied. They told the Supreme Court something completely different in Helvering v. Davis when the Democrat Ponzi Scheme better known as Social Security was challenged (after the Supreme Court was threatened by FDR so they would stop ruling his "New Deal" unconstitutional. Google the “Switch in Time that Saved Nine."). Democrat lawyers argued that SS funding was a general revenue tax, and the revenue from that tax was to go in the general revenue fund, not a "trust fund,” something very different than what Democrats told We the People.

Helvering v. Davis included the following ruling proving that that there never was a Social Security Trust Fund regardless of Democrat lies to the contrary.

The argument for petitioners is that the tax moneys are not earmarked, and that Congress is at liberty to spend them as it will. The usual separability clause is embodied in the act. Section 1103 (42 U.S.C.A. 1303). ​

Once again Democrats lied about their great programs. I know the truth is tough for many on the Left to understand and embrace, but reality is a stubborn thing, and does not go away

This isn't a new thing devised by the right my friend. This has been well known by economists since the Depression occured. Have you ever heard of Milton Friedman? I suggest you look into his thoughts on the Federal Reserve and the Great Depression. Thoughts he had seventy years ago and more.
