That isn't a perfect scenario, because if a president believes generals all know more than he does, he won't be able to spot an incompetent general and take the necessary actions to prevent that general from damaging our forces.

First off, they aren't our "leaders". They're our representatives. They answer to us. We don't answer to them. We aren't required to do, or not do something just because they told us to. They only have to be smart enough to be able to understand the Constitution and the powers and restrictions it places upon them.

 

Define smart. Is "smart" when they do something you agree with?
