Something like that has to be considered, but I would worry about a drawn out expression of the people's judgement unless you mean changing term limts to stagger the election years. That I would probably back.

Perhaps it's done in terms of predicting the fallout, but I'm not yet ready to say that the election is done and I don't think I should be expected to if I'm extending any charity to the claims being made by witnesses in Michigan or Georgia. Election law is too obscure to me so I want to at least make sense of the information being cited. There's some plausible, suspicious stuff coming out of the hearings as recently as this afternoon by my view, and virtually all news media is morally collapsed right now so their pressure isn't making me any less patient. They want me making a decision fast and right away as soon as they cover a story but the politicians they favor called the election illegitimate since 2016. Had a de facto 4-year investigation over it that completely discredited the same politicians and news media now telling me to make my decision today and agree that the election is clean beyond doubt.

There is nothing fair and square about the 2020 Presidential election. Sidney Powell just filed a lawsuit in WI. The left may get away with this in the short term but all the details will come out in the next few months. The left expected Trump to concede but he will not.

Trump isn't interested in looking at elections in states where he won against a backdrop of voter suppression. In this case, the Orange Oaf is trying to get the election for President and Vice President thrown into the House. The Courts haven't played ball--they're waiting for Rudy to put the affidavits he keeps waving around into evidence.
Why haven't those affidavits been presented to the courts?
An unwarranted conclusion. Rudy keeps losing in court. SCOTUS isn't going to stop the Electoral College from declaring Joe Biden as the next President.
Trump is firing blanks. The election was legit.

trump mailed in any policy on covid-19. By mailing it in, he mailed away an easy win.

Democrats love this stuff. You're wrecking the Republican Party. Biden saved the Democrats from Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

You're like AOC/Bernie socialists--you're selling an America people don't want. Trump won't win the 2024 nomination.

    I'm open to reasonable solutions.
Rudy isn't presenting evidence to the courts. He and Trump can't expect the courts are going to decide in his favor.
    Where's the evidence?
What does "morally collapsed" mean? The news media let Trump get away with a con job about how well the economy was doing.

The truth ... economic growth in the last three years of Obama was almost identical to the first years of Trump:

    upload_2020-12-3_21-57-36.jpeg

Unemployment continued the same trajectory under Trump:

    upload_2020-12-3_22-3-27.jpeg

Why didn't the media expose Trump's con?
Not sure I follow. The news media are playing up conflict, even ginning it up, to keep people watching and clicking.

The most interesting stuff I've seen from witness testimony come from Michigan, where one man described the invalidity rate in a random sample of 30,000 votes as being near 8% in Detroit. The voter data he presented showed that ballots tabulated included those with home addresses listed as churches or since-demo'd homes. Some were deceased or born in 2020. That doesn't prove anything to be in Trump's electoral favor, but it is enough to make me wonder how that can be and how frequent these things are across the country.

In Georgia, there is video showing that vote tabulation continued after all poll-watchers departed for the evening on Nov. 3rd around 10pm. The ballots in being stored in suitcases under a table thing is suspicious, but again, I want to let the defense materialize and see what happens because I'm not an election lawyer.

I mean that the news media as I perceive it is reliant on hysteria and negative partisanship being rampant, so they promote it. I don't think news media values any of the high-minded traditional ideals that they claim (neutrality, objectivity, accuracy, ethics, etc.). For example, the newsworthiness of disease-spread vanished in May when the newsworthiness of race garnered more outrage and attention. When that faded, the salience of Covid was revived fallaciously, and we can notice this pattern repeating itself with Covid, ID politics, and much more. The same 4 or 5 items are on rotation like household meals and it annoys me because we can also notice the reasons for rotating them which are always partisan or profit-driven - never driven by the actual salience of the items in the real world.

Granting that these charts substantiate a "con", I think they would rather inflame the emotions of consumers by talking about race and political theater that involves things people can watch, like pressers or riots or leaked Melania audio and stuff like this. It stimulates more anger and anger translates to political engagement.

Not since Nov. 3rd. For the last 3 weeks prior to the election, I noticed that every headline was making Trump's election commentary salient day after day, disputing all the claims he made and calling into question the future of democracy, etc. Then after election night, most headlines featured Biden and were forward-looking. This constructs a clean-cut transition for the consumer. It puts all electoral anxiety in the past. "It's old news now", basically. Additionally, I don't know if any MSM even covered the hearings as of late and I know they didn't cover Trump's statement on the state of his campaign's disputes.

No doubt, media wants conflict to keep their viewers, but the selectivity of their coverage conceals a larger agenda that I find to be bad and wrong.

Laws broken, laws ignored, you are claiming that evidence of this doesn’t matter because you want Biden to win. Telling.

The problem with your comment is that when actually presented with the facts, you're willingness to dismiss them precludes you from actually seeing what is fact. That you'd rely on others to choose for you is a demonstration of your unwillingness to exercise actual personal responsibility so you can ceed it to others to choose or decide for you. Obedience is a fundamental precept of tyranny.

How about the Governor of Georgia? Do you consider him just some random guy on the radio? There is a video that shows the observers and media being led out of the State Farm Arena which was when the Fulton County, GA Tabulation Center was located. They were told that the counting would stop at 10:30, and resume the next day. After they left, a woman is seen in the video removing suit cases of illegal votes. The counters then worked until 02:00 to count these illegal votes. That is voter fraud. I asked the question previously, "Why continue the counting after the observers and media was told that the counting was done if they were not committing voter fraud? It would seem that the question has been vindicated by the facts.
Georgia Gov. Kemp claims GOP secretary of state has yet to order signature audit | Fox News

Add to that, the fact that three liberal organizations are being investigated for attempting to illegally register the dead and people that live out of state. One of those organizations was founded by Stacey Abrams, and was headed by one of the Democrat Senatorial Candidates. That organization supposedly sent a box of absentee ballots to an address in New York with a note to have people fill them out and mail them back. This reminds me of the 2008 ACORN registration fraud.

Consider all the states that Trump had what many thought was a insurmountable lead, only to have Biden ahead the next morning. This should be considered as grounds for a signature check recount.

Hmm... Are you just venting because of how fully you enjoyed ramming the Steele dossier around here? And now that you've discovered you were wrong, and that you relied on the big media to inform you, aren't you simply falling for the same trap again? Seems as much.

We're stuck with 51 elections, each run under a state's own rules, unless we get a constitutional amendment stopping states from gerrymandering Congressional district boundaries, fiddling in various ways with voter registration, and setting their own rules and procedures for managing voting.

The 2020 election will be over in ten days. SCOTUS won't allow Trump throw the election into the House, the only way he could conceivably win reelection.
They give us what we collectively want--conflict, excitement, and entertainment. Take Ferguson, MO. Almost all the physical conflict took place in a few blocks stretching out from a housing project plopped down in a middle class community. It shouldn't surprise anyone poor people would hang around outside of sweat boxes in the middle of summer, or they would get into trouble in a town where public spaces and services are geared to serve people who hang out in their yards and air-conditioned homes.

After literally weeks of protests that attracted outsiders, the conflict was still limited to a few blocks. TV news watchers were treated to whoop-whoop conflict starring Antifa, Al Sharpton, et al. Did the media look at the continuing problem created by putting the housing project in a community not ready for public housing? Nope. All the major networks--CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc,--played up the conflict.
My take on that is a little different. COVID-19 was and remains a serious threat to the economy. Tens of millions of people, mostly older, have slowed spending in service sectors. We have job-rich areas of the economy where people are unemployed--restaurants, bars, clubs, travel, recreation, and so on--that can't survive even if we open the doors. (We'll have a nasty recession if demand drops 15%.)

Pols are afraid of having to set up field hospitals where people go to die and then get put into freezer trucks, and where we move old people out if the ICU in favor of young people more likely to survive. Trump ignored the imperative and it cost him his job.

    E68A3118-6F8F-4871-95D7-9A92D7637D9D.jpeg

Liberals were unbelievably hypocritical about ignoring the BLM protests when they violated the social distancing orders. The media failed to call them out just as they failed to call out the people running small businesses who wanted to stay open because they were desperate when the reality was and is that many people won't shop, dine out, or travel as long as the virus is circulating widely.

The media? They follow the conflict--covid, BLM, then back to covid.
It's not a plot, none of it is effectively orchestrated, but it is exploited.
Exactly. That's it. The media, right across the political spectrum, exploit whatever is un front of them.
There's no doubt the media as a whole think Trump is a menace. I agree. He is. Worse still, he's a false prophet who said he was going to help the middle class overcome this...

    BE78D1FD-1AF5-47DE-B06D-DB8980F6CD8F.jpeg

... and then turned around and gave 85% of the tax cuts to people making $400,000 per year. Trump said he wouldn't cut the top rate when he was running.
Their agenda is making money. The rest is no big deal.

There is no voter suppression. That is a narrative with no evidence. Please name some registered voters who have been denied the right to vote.
