If I die, I die. Going to happen one day or the other regardless. To paraphrase I think it was Hume, I am no more bothered about not existing after I die than I am bothered about not existing before I was born.
I can always spot the people who live in the countries who have decided to provide universal health care instead of the sole 1st world country who allows its citizens to die without health care or need to go bankrupt for it. What is amazing that Americans choose to pay TWICE the costs for half the service and performance as every other 1st world health system.
That is certainly a most reasonable post. Another factor never discussed is that now in our 10th to 12th month of this fiasco, at least here in Florida, many people have been infected that never made it into the stat book. I know dozens at least who had all the symptoms but never sought medical treatment. They suffered at home and got over it. So the herd immunity factor is in play, and the talk on the street factor is in play. Many have already had it, and obtained some degree of immunity in the process. Many others have been informed and supplement with vitamins and minerals and various immune system support measures. While many are still living in terror and fear of the virus, many are not. Asking around, most of those wearing masks do so in order to keep a job. It is the bureaucrats and media that still stoke the fear. If one doesn't watch the media, the fear factor subsides greatly.
Not really. Perhaps some small hospitals, or those out in the sticks, but in real population centers not at all. My wife works for a hospital and they have PLENTY of available bedspace, should it become necessary.
Please note that I was not trying to minimize the impact that that this virus has had on society and was only commenting on how relatively little it has affected me.....for now. I realize that could change in a matter of hours and that I could be the one inside that crowded ICU. While I don't know of anyone cowering in their basement in a Haz-Mat suit or French kissing on subways, I do believe that there are a wide variety of opinions as to the seriousness of this virus. I thought that I made it clear that being required to wear a mask and other small inconveniences is far from a clandestine government conspiracy to enslave us all but apparently I did not and for that, I apologize.
Check out what's happening in Italy. https://humansarefree.com/2020/10/italians-rise-up-against-health-dictatorship.html I guess we've all heard that the increased number of cases is because of increased testing and hospitalizations are the same so the lockdowns are a scam. I saw another video about Italy a day or two ago and it was explained that that's why the Italians are protesting.
I think large segments of the herd are beginning to come to their senses. Is that why the media continues to bang the gong loudly with its fear mongering? Are the wheels beginning to fall off the official narrative?
attacking the police doesn't help your cause. The police enforce the laws. If the Italians want liberty, then vote for it. Or, be like Democrat voters in the USA who detest liberty.
Yeah! The Right for me to wear pants and underwear in a store and the street has completely taken away my rights!!
Hopefully. Giving up freedom and bowing to authority is not very American. Not everyone has gone clueless about what is truly at risk. https://thepostmillennial.com/ameri...d-sacrifice-their-rights-for-the-greater-good
What about Germany, France, Italy back on lockdown shortly after liberation. Lockdowns just reserve some susceptible for the next surge. What did China do so different? Lots that would not tolerate. Such as isolating a region. Moi
Spain https://news.yahoo.com/violent-clashes-spain-over-covid-134333046.html Violent clashes in Spain over COVID restrictions Protesters looted shops and clashed with police across Saturday night (October 31) as anger against state of emergency restrictions to curb a surge in coronavirus infections reverberated across Spain. Riot police fired blank bullets to disperse protesters who were setting bins alight on Madrid's Gran Via thoroughfare and in Barcelona officers were pelted with stones and other projectiles in a second night of disturbances. In the northern Spanish city of Logrono, police reported being attacked by around 150 people who set fire to containers and looted shops. . . . And more. Moi Wow! People of Barcelona and Madrid in agreement!
I don't understand the resistance to lockdowns. When it gets bad enough people do it in a more disorganized way anyway. Anti maskers are all talk. When it comes time they still want to live.
The mask has nothing to do with whether they'll live or die. And you still haven't presented any evidence that masks reduce incidence of disease. Doubt you will this time either
Shouldn't we be more concerned about forced vaccinations? That seems to be implied. coming down the road in the near future Though very few are giving that the attention it deserves.
Other than those nations who have actually HAD a reduction in disease through lockdowns, masks and social distancing.
