You know you're desperate when you're relying on sources you normally decry as fake news. And as always, you don't bother to read past the headline before posting:

Moscow knows it is on the clock: in about a month, the $61billion of US military aid will start to translate into Ukraine having the weapons it has been begging for. So, Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to be throwing whatever he can at it, knowing the fight will likely only get tougher for his forces in the summer ahead.

    Too right.

That part of it is fake D. They can't bring themselves to tell the whole truth.....now they are just softening folks up for the defeat....still protecting Biden.

It's like most RuZzians living and fleeing to the US here....they fully support what's going on in Ukraine....as long as someone else is doing the dirty work....like the trailer trash....Buryats,Tuvans,Kalmuks,Chechens,Degestanis,etc.

Same as this case...oh look at this dude in RuZzia....that's fine....but I'm good in TX....:roll:

I don't play games with Russian apologists.
Tell that crap to folks living in former Soviet "republics," and others in now free Eastern European countries the Soviets occupied and didn't leave.
Not by you. Putin is scum--a lowlife murderer.

You're known by those you support.

I wasn't criticizing the Russian national debt-versus-GDP, Bill. I cited a statistic from the provided link that was accurate in 2022, and that's the latest information I could find anywhere for Russia, per se.

By contrast, our United States national debt-versus-GDP is absolutely EXECRABLE! I wonder if we'll ever get the damned thing down below 100% again, but it has risen under both Democrat and Republican administrations, and it's STILL rising....

The consensus of internationally respected economists of all stripes is that the tipping-point for a nation's economy is reached when the debt-versus-GDP ratio exceeds 77%. Beyond that point, it's an eventual death-spiral for economies that don't take decisive action to correct that ratio -- and quickly!

Interestingly, the latest debt-versus-GDP ratio I could find for China is right at 77% (based on 2022). They're reached that 'tipping-point' and it's anybody's guess where they're headed. Russia, however, seems to be run much more sensibly then China, or the United States.... :lonely:

I know you weren't criticizing. And yes, Russia is ran much better than the US. They live within their means....which is why the quality of life there is getting better while the quality of life here is getting worse. The 'American Dream' is all but dead here, but it can be found in Russia. Truth hurts.

Russia is better run than the United States?

Ruled by a de facto Tsar, and the Secret Police?

Russia, where the Tsar's closest allies steal fortunes?

Where the GDP is that of Italy, in a country only slightly smaller than the United States?

What gives you the idea that the quality of life is improving in Russia, that availability of cheap Chinese cars?

Sure you can make out all right in Russia, but you have to bribe the right people.

Are you upset with the truth Tommy? You're damn right it's ran better than the U.S.
Do you even know how 'GDP' is calculated? Likely not. If Russia borrowed as much as the US did, just this year, it would have the 3rd highest GDP behind the US and China.
A better metric is GDP/PPP, purchasing power parity.

The current worldwide rankings of GDP/PPP:
    1. China
    2. U.S.
    3. India
    4. Japan
    5. Russia
    6. Germany

(Italy is down the list a ways)

The Cold War propagandists have been lying to you.

And that's the greatest irony and paradox of all.. Russia (and China) are imaginatively developing "neo-Capitalism" , while here in the States, we're plummeting straight into "neo-Socialism"....

Aah, you are the one from those who sleep on the streets.. I see. Come to Russia, I will find a place for you to live..I understand that you also do not have flat tires, this is for reach people with expensive cars..but since you live on the street, of course you do not have one.

Kharkov frontline ‘on the edge’ says Kyiv spy chief as Putin’s forces advance

General Kyrylo Budanov said “every hour” counted and Moscow’s assault was intended to exhaust Kyiv’s thin reserves across the frontline. “The situation is on the edge. Every hour this situation moves toward critical. I’ve used everything we have. Unfortunately, we don’t have anyone else in the reserves,” Budanov told the New York Times.
