    https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2023/12/politics/missing-russia-intelligence-trump-dg/

I looked at the first two pages for this and didn't see anything about this particular topic.
Just read this and was a little surprised at how irresponsible these people were with such sensitive information, and the mystery of what happened to the file.
I think this is a perfect example of why Trump should not be allowed near the White House again.
Please, Republicans, if you really love your country, select someone else to run instead of Trump. He truly is a danger to national security.

Trump is the biggest intelligence security risk this country has ever had. Electing him implies handing over our secrets to his allies: mostly KJU, Xi and Putin. This is why folk who get their news on Social Media will be flooded with all types of fake information in 2024. Dictators will spare no cost to get Trump in the WH. Which means AGAIN access to all the secrets they care to grab.

Congress is already taking action to stop Trump's "antiques". Like the BIPARTISAN bill passed yesterday that prohibits a President from withdrawing from NATO without approval from Congress. But there is just SO much damage a Trump presidency could cause, that it's impossible to account for everything he might do.

    First this:

    And now this.

If anyone really thinks Meadows has the binder, then why didn't Garland raid his home?

I stopped reading after the below paragraph.

I can't follow the worries that Trump would "destroy America", because I believe that this country has too many checks and balances for "destruction", however, I think Trump would do considerable harm, and some maybe not realized for some time, such as this incident.
It is hard to imagine that anyone would consider Trump for president again, but here we are. I get that people don't like Biden, but why Republicans don't support a different Republican candidate, I don't understand.
Nikki Haley seems like a good alternative, but there seems to be a cult like draw to Trump.

Right. That's why Russia attacked Ukraine and Hamas invaded Israel on Trump's watch. Oh wait. :icon_picknose::alcoholic:

So, where's the evidence that Trump took it, or lost it?

That's what I'm waiting to see. The word of career bureaucrats, who are looking to burn Trump just isn't good enough, for some reason...lol

What does that have to do with the OP?
Did you read the article linked?

I don't think you read the article that was linked. It never said Trump took it, it just states that it went missing during Trump's administration, and described a rather disturbing series of behavior that showed a lack of control with highly classified documentation that could be seriously damaging to our national security.
Unless one does not care about national security......................

Trump was a pleasant surprise to many of us. I know I laughed at the idea of him being President but he turned out to be really good at it. I think the people who refer to people who find Trump a good idea are the same ones that so loved the Kennedys, remember Camelot?
I would love to vote for people who talked to people and listened to what is seen as necessary in our lives. Not like we have now who believe they should decide what we get, like it or not.

The whole point of the article and the thread is to blame Trump...lol.

Trump is responsible for the security of the millions of classified documents possessed by The United States government?

" But there is just SO much damage a Trump presidency could cause, that it's impossible to account for everything he might do."

But yet, Russia and Hamas waited till Trump was out of office. The world is a more dangerous place since Trump left and Sleepy Joe took over.

    Sure you did...

It's your habit to ask a question and then, and just hide when the answer only exposes the fact that you get your news from the fake MAGA media.

He will not destroy America. But you're the only one using the word "destruction". Which sounds a lot like binary thinking. But he would do a lot of damage to this country.

Of course there are many "checks". And my post states that Congress is adding more. So I'm not sure you read the post you responded to. But the fact is that we shouldn't be in this situation in which we HAVE to account for the possibility that a dictator wannabe has some chance of becoming President.

She would be a good alternative for the Republican Party. Which doesn't mean having her as President would be good for the country. In any case Nikki Haley has as much a chance of being the Republican nominee in 2024 as Chris Christie does. So the matter is moot.

No, just the ones they have possession of. Trump created an atmosphere in his staff that didn't follow protocols with highly classified documents.
What's more amazing to me is that you are ok with highly classified information not being taken care of, possibly putting America's security at risk, not to mention allies and agents we have in other countries. Seems you are ok with anything Trump does, as you defend to no end literally anything he does.

Putin had no interest in taking over Ukraine when Trump was President. Why would he? He had something BETTER. His puppet was President of the United States. What could be better than that?

I wasn't quoting you with the term destruction, just relating it to language I've heard over the last few years in regard to Trump, not necessarily you.
Some Trump fans use the over-the-top rhetorical language to dismiss all negative things expressed about Trump, and I was attempting to address that preemptively.
But I do believe that a Trump presidency has and will again cause damage to the US, and some of it might be difficult to recognize until it's too late.

Like I said, I stopped reading when I said I stopped reading. I was going to originally stop reading when CNN said there was no confirmation anything was missing. Besides, CNN said Trump was going to declassify most of it, including the Crossfire Hurricane stuff which probably had libs shaking in their crocs.

Actually, I was asking for your explanation of how your Hamas and Ukraine statement related to the op which was about the Trump administrations poor handling of top secret documents, or the post you were replying to, which did not mention Hamas or Ukraine. I was giving you the opportunity to bridge the gap rather than just react and claim it was off topic.
Apparently it is too much for you to explain.

Biden had an Iranian spy in his admin and that's pretty bad. Plus who knows how many Chinese spies he has lurking about.
