What's political about someone who loves another person marrying them? Seems to me that Russians are terrified out homosexuals for some unknown reason. Is it because they dress well?

How would anybody's life be different if gay marriage was normalized in Russia? Nothing.

Sharik.....I have heard Pro-Putin supporters say some fairly idiotic things but I cannot believe you posted that schools like HARVARD, MIT, AMHERST, SMITH, BRANDEIS...ETC....ARE NO GOOD!! LOL!!!!

Next you are going to be telling us that Yale and Cal Tech...etc....are no good either!! LOL!!!!

You are disparaging the very best Colleges, Universities and Institutes ON PLANET EARTH!!!

Parents around the world would give an arm, leg or kidney just to get their kids an INTERVIEW by these schools never mind actually getting their kids IN to schools like MIT, Cal. Tech, Harvard, Yale...etc..etc.

Do yourself a favor and THINK before you POST because you are making yourself look SILLY!!!

it isn't a matter of difference, it is the matter of decency.

who told you these are the best? their advertising agents did?.. it's the most expensive education, yes, but as for the best - nah, look how many 'educated fools' it has produced.

that only points to the hysteria created with help of systematised and blatant advertising campaigns on the part of those who sell education. Coca-Cola and McDonalds phenomenon is the key to all this; people know they eat and drink schit, which is dangerous to their health, but still do so because they have been brainwashed.

It's your OPINION that gay marriage is not decent. The reality is, it's none of your business what two people in love do. Why are you so invested into other people's love life? Are you lonely?

not the marriage itself (you seem unable to grasp the idea) but the politics & policies behind it are indecent.

Why should it be political? It's just two people marrying each other. What are you so scared of?

It shouldn't be. But no free person should get in trouble for supporting it. Unlike the poor Russian slaves

Lol Russians just "think" it's "propaganda". In fact, it's just gay people trying to get the same respect and treatment as straight people. Your political agenda against gay people makes you BELIEVE it's propaganda.

there ain't no gay or straight people as far as respect is concerned; for example, being straight adds nothing to how the person is respected.

I agree that being straight or gay should not have any effect upon how other view or treat a person but unfortunately there are still many people in the world that are fearful and racist of other people of different sexual orientation or different race, creed or ideology.

I only have one thing to say to such bigoted people and that is....When you are in some HELL HOLE being shot at from every direction and you take a bullet....you really don't care what color, race, religion or sexual orientation the person helping you to stop the bleeding is!!!!

    People are people.

Ignorance and lack of education and lack of experience is what makes BIGOTS!!!

I have had a gay member of my Team and the ONLY thing important to me and the other members of the Team was if he HAD OUR BACKS!!

That's the ONLY thing that mattered.

And if there was a WOMAN who was capable of performing the same job as well as one of the Team Members I would bot be biased about a woman member either.

All this CRAP I hear coming from people about....OH....she's a woman...or....OH...he's gay.....or.....OH....their Black.....it's all CRAP!!!

Unfortunately there is a lack of education in some Minority Groups as poverty will tend to do such a thing.

But as far as a Gay Man.....he still is a MAN....and as long as he is capable of performing his JOB I could care less.

And I could care less if a person is black or white or yellow or red...etc.

And I could care less if a Team Member is a man or woman although so far we have never had a female Team Member strictly because of the ability to lift weight issue as every member must be capable of performing a list of physical feats.

But if there was a woman capable of doing so I can tell you I would not have any issue with her becoming a Team Member and none of my Team Members would either!!!

In fact being able to have a WOMAN on the Team would just expand our capabilities.

Then it's not political. Which is exactly why it's strange that Putin fears gay people so much he makes the discussions of them illegal and LABELS it Propaganda.

    no, it isn't.

because there's indeed huge propaganda campaign behind the gay agenda. Putin was right that has curbed the West in its attempts to politicise the gays issue.

But government and traditional institutions are different entities. Except places like Saudi Arabia. That's just all kinds of messed up.

government has long since become a traditional institution, however it isn't government pushing gay agenda, it is corporate interests that do so.

Would you be fine if gay marriage were a normalized thing in Russia if it had no corporate gain? Such as, just two men getting married cause they love each other?

    Fair enough.

May I ask why you wouldn't want it to be mingled with a traditional marriage ceremony? What's the big deal? If two people, of age, law abiding citizens, love each other...why can't they have a normal wedding?
