I have spent a great deal of time in Russia when it was part of the Soviet Union and when it became a Democracy and there is nothing wrong with the Russian people as I have many Russian friends mostly in and around Moscow.

The PROBLEM is that after being controlled for over 100 years by Czars then Commmunist Leaders and then they finally become a Democracy....they can't seem to take matters into their own hands and thow Putin out of office.

Putin has changes the Russian Constitution to allow him to continue running Russia as he steals with the ehlp of his 110 buddies all the Profits from supposedly State Owned Companies which are mostly Oil and Natural Gas Energy Companies.

Remember....Putin has seized EVERY SINGLE LARGE COMPANY IN RUSSIA!!!

Putin has taken over control of the Russian Media.

And Putin has placed Russia in a state of Economic Depression.

Since over 80% of the entire Russian Economy comes from exports of Russian Oil and Natural Gas....Russia has a very small economy which was approx. $1.98 Trillion in 2014....about the same amout of money that a single U.S. State....California.....had as California's Economy in 2014 was $2.1 Trillion.

Putin went on Russian TV and announced that the Russian Economy would go into a DEPRESSION with a decrease of between 5.5% and 7.5% in 2015.

U.S. Estimates are between 7% and 9.1%.

Credit Swiss a VERY reputable source estimated the declination at between 7.5% and 12.5%.

If the Russian Economy goes into a state of DEPRESSION that is greater than 10%.....this will be DISASTEROUS FOR RUSSIA!!!

The United States and Canada are willing to HELP...as no European Nation is willing to help as they got BURNED BAD by Putin when Putin seized all Large Privately Owned Russian Companies which had Billions of Euro's of European Investment that was stolen by Putin and his 110 Buddies.

After the United States and Canada completely FLOODED THE OIL MARKET.....as well taught Putin a lesson in who controls OPEC as Putin waited expecting OPEC to vote to reduce Oil Production as the Oil Market was flooded by the U.S. and Canada and OPEC still voted to keep Oil Production at their current levels.

This caused the Economic Collapse of the Russian Economy and caused the IMF and World Bank to assign the U.S. Treasury and the U.S. Dollar as Russia's Emergency Currency as the Ruble has been rendered worthless and no one in Russia would accept the Ruble as Payment.

The U.S. and Canada flooded the Oil Market because the PROFITS for Russian Oil are being STOLEN by Putin and his 110 Buddies as they talk about how these now STATE OWNED COMPANIES PAY THEIR TAXES....but what they do not discuss is WHERE THE PROFITS ARE GOING!!!

The United States and Canada watched Putin not give a DAMN about his own people as the average Russian Family was suffering....so we stopped flooding the Oil Market which allowed the Russian Economy to prevent A TOTAL COLLAPSE but still this has caused a very deep recession.

Putin has gone so far as to announce he will allow something even Putin has said many times that should never happen and that is to allow China unfettered access to Siberian Oil Supplies.

Putin is going to allow Chinese PLA....Peoples Liberation Army Soldiers into Eastern Siberia as they will work for FREE instead of giving those JOBS TO RUSSIAN'S!!

WHY???

MORE PROFITS FOR PUTIN AND HIS 110 BUDDIES!!!

Now the United States is extremely concerned with this as China could easily move 2 to 3 Million Chinese PLA Soldiers across the boarder into Russia before the Russian Military could do anything about it and we feel Putin who himself has warned against this possibility is desperate and that is why he is allowing this.

If either one of two things happens we could help Russia without endangering Russia's security.

#1. Putin comes to his senses and does what he was going to do 13 years ago and that is USE RUSSIAN WORKERS AND U.S. AND CANADIAN ADVISORS TO DEVELOP WESTERN SIBERIAN INFRASTRUCTURE and with U.S. and Canadian Super Cold Weather experience in doing this...over 100 years....and with U.S. High Tech Drilling and most importantly U.S. and Canadian High Tech. Oil and Natural Gas Location Abilities as we can find the exact places where to drill without wasting time, money and effort....we can create Millions of new and good paying JOBS for Russian's.

#2. Is that Russian's force Putin out of office and we help develop Siberia with a new Russian Leader.

Russia's economic problems ARE NOT GOING TO GO AWAY!!

China will not help them go away.

The ONLY way to help Russia is to create JOBS....and not create then for the Chinese Military...BUT FOR RUSSIAN'S!!!

they are not existing, in the first place. Russia is not an economy but a geoplitical entity and in that supported by world financial systems, regardless the economics.

 

the main brunt of economic worries lies on the US, who has long accepted the obligation to pay off the world investments in this lottery, known by name of the USA.

 

The ONLY reason that the Russian Economy still exists is because we stopped flooding the Oil Market and we could easily do this again....but Putin has made it obvious he does not care what the average Russian Family must endure so we could not in all good conscience continue flooding the oil market.

Russia is in trouble....very deep economic trouble and there is only one Nation capable of helping Russia not spiral into a decade or longer deep depression....and that is the United States.

China has no experience developing Super Cold Weather Infrastructure so they will cost Russia a great deal of money as they fumble along attempting to do things for the first time.

But what I cannot see the average Russian Family allowing is to allow Putin to allow Chinese PLA Soldiers to take away JOBS from the Russian People!!!

If I was Russian and needed a JOB....I would be LIVID that in my own Country my own leader would be allowing Chinese Workers to do a JOB for FREE just so Putin and his 110 Buddies who own over 35% of all Russian Wealth to make a bigger profit!!!

Don't underestimate China's ability to construct large scale infrastructure in difficult circumstances.

Putin has nothing to worry about. He's a strong man, and that's what Russians respect and admire

 

oil has nothing to do with it. Russia can be self dependent and do without sales abroad if stops import coming in, but this isn't what the West would want to happen, that which Russian markets become anavailable for its export.

Great comment! Was a really nice reading. I haven't ever been to Russia, and haven't made friends with the Russians, but I'm pretty sure that it's too naive to suppose that everything that is going on in Russia and Ukraine is only the Putin's fault.
I know that our media wants us to blame Putin for everything, but isn't it too much for a single person?

Putin was KGB and part of a system back in the late 70's and 1980's and 1990's where a young KGB Agent like Putin in the 1970's did his best to climb the ladder so he could take part in the Special Considerations given to High Ranking Members of the KGB, GRU, Soviet Communist Leadership and Soviet Military Brass.

Back then while the Russian people had to wait in bread lines Putin was climbing the Ladder waiting for the day when he too could become a member of the Soviet Elite who were entitled and wanted for NOTHING.

Unfortunately this mentality is ingrained in him as it is similar to a person who is poor and their family was poor and then one day this person makes or get a lot of MONEY yet their mentality is still fixed in the past so they do things like GRAB UP AS MUCH MONEY AND THINGS AS MUCH AS THEY CAN AND AS FAST AS THEY CAN as when a person lives their life with NOTHING....they learn to grab with both hands and fight others if necessary for all and anything that is possible for them to get.

13 Years Ago.....Russia was supposed to partner up with the United States in what was to be the Russian/American-Canadian Siberian Infrastructure Development and Energy Exploitation Program.

This plan would have brought together Russia, the United States and Canada....3 of the 4 largest Nations by area and 3 of the LARGEST NATURAL RESERVE HOLDING NATIONS ON EARTH!!

The Program would have used Russian Workers and created Millions upon Millions of new and good paying JOBS for Russian's as the U.S. and Canada have over 100 years of Supercold Weather Infrastructure and Drilling and Oil and Natural Gas Location Experience and Technology.

The best part is that both the U.S. and Canada had their own programs running as both the U.S. and Canada will be 100% ENERGY SELF SUFFICIENT by 2023 thus the U.S. and Canada have no need of Russian Oil so the statements by Putin that the U.S. and Canada were doing this because they wanted Russian Oil and Natural Gas were not only false but as well PUTIN PURPOSELY LIED!!!

Why?

Putin told the Russian People that he was cancelling this Program because RUSSIA DID NOT NEED AMERICAN HELP AND RUSSIA COULD DO IT ALONE!!

Problem was and still is that Russia does not have the technology or experience of building Supercold Weather Infrastructure as in order to develop and exploit Siberian Oil and Natural Gas you first have TO BULD ROADS UPON TUNDRA AND PERMAFROST that unless properly built SINK IN SPRING!!!

Plus building for housing Millions of People and Workers....Hospitals, Police and Fire Stations, Pipelines that allow Animal Migrations that don't sink as the U.S. build monster size and length environmentally sound pipelines in Alaska....and the list goes on and on.

But most important was U.S. High Tech. Slant Drilling for use in SUPER COLD WEATHER as without this bits and drilling pipes crack and break.....as well the U.S. has the Technology to locate large deposits of Oil and Natural Gas without having to waste time with test drilling.

THAT is something Russia simply cannot do nor can China which has ZERO EXPERIENCE doing anything I have so far talked about.

The United States would have dramatically cut back on defense spending and would have saved about $1 TRILLION DOLLARS DOING SO as such a close relationship with Russia would allow us to cut back.

Russia is at the beginning of a LONG TERM DEEP DEPRESSION!!!

And Putin in his GREED has announced doing something Putin himself said HE WOULD NEVER DO....allow Unfettered access to China to Russian Siberian Energy Reserves!!!

Fortunately the vast amount of Oil and Natural Gas exists in WESTERN SIBERIA NOT EASTERN!!

to evaluate a Russian leader i'd go by whether he is hated or liked by the West and its rulers. Putin is clearly hated by them, so its a proof he is an ok leader.
