I don't know what to tell you. When I go to my original post with that link and click on it, it opens right up.

Same rule applies to the things you don't like. Doesn't stop you discussing it does it.

Oh and I don't think they'd take much notice of me over here in Blighty.

You cannot be recorded as a felon without going to prison?
When you've served your sentence you have no right to re-join society?

Are you kidding me? I've told you TWICE now that I support restoration of all rights, including voting rights, upon completion of sentence. I'm not saying it again.

And yes, you can be convicted of a felony and not go to prison, but in my experience, lower grade felonies are usually punished with deferral of adjudication (meaning conviction is suspended). If that isn't offered or imposed in a given case, there's usually a reason, and we're right back to talking about repeat offenders or higher grade felonies.

If you ever catch me complaining about a democratically enacted law, I will cheerfully delete it.

As I said, most voter suppression is legal.

Many poor people with felony convictions are in no position to pay fines, so they can't vote. Voter suppression.

Of course, the law matters, and I do work to change it. Taking away folks' vote with overly limited ID options is wrong. Creating long lines at polling stations is wrong.

It may be the law, but it's voter suppression.

Sure, and most of us have ID up the butt. But some poorer people don't.

Still, there is no excuse for making voting difficult with long lines.

Any voter suppression is illegal, as I thought you were blowing smoke again.

Where and be specific else once again you are blowing smoke. And still waiting for you to prove the COVID cases went up more in states without mass mail in voting than in states with mass mail in voting.

And yet, you're all hot to accept the affidavits Crazy Rudy waves around but doesn't enter into evidence.

The way the Left defines voter suppression, of course it isn't illegal.

But conspiring to violate civil rights, and voting is a civil right, is illegal. I would not be shy about making that claim in a federal court if there were a factual basis for it. Obviously it would have to be something other than "making people wait in long lines," or requiring voter ID, which is an absurd complaint.

I'm more and more convinced that you are trolling. I'm complaining there about leftist whiners, individuals, some of whom are posting in this thread, who do NOT think criminals should lose their rights. It's the exact opposite of complaining about the law.

I sometimes wait in a long line to vote. Doesn't kill me. The "excuse" for lines is that a lot of people show up to vote at the same time, meaning, at the last minute. That isn't voter suppression. It's lack of foresight on the voters' part.

    Too much whining here.

The Left will eventually want everyone to be able to send in a postcard with no indicators to prove who the "voter" is. I guess they also want free postage. Demanding voters pay $.35 out of their own pocket is voter suppression.

It would be nice if the mailman would come in to the house and let me hand him the card so that I don't have to schlep out to the mailbox. It might rain.

In Texas, an ID costs $16.00. They can get an ID if they really want one and if they don't wait until election day to demand one.

I think the difference in these posts in this thread breaks down, as usual. according to what, if anything, we believe the citizenry owes to the state. As JFK, said, "Ask not what your country can do for you ...." Truer words were never spoken. Hard to believe he was a Democrat.

And I bet they can check a box on the form and get it for free. My blind mother had a state issued ID for decades and she used it to vote. It was always take Mom to vote and then to lunch, miss those days. It was doing your civic duty with your fellow citizens.

If you have something to say then post here for everyone to see and then we can discuss it, I don't follow links trying to figure out what it is you claim proves your assertion. Where it this election was voting suppressed and by whom. What counties had long lines long enough to suppress votes and who runs those county elections? I have to wait in line it took me 50 minutes to vote one of the workers told me it was about an hour at the heaviest point. And that with the COVID restrictions. Normally I'm in and out in about 3 minutes.

And the affidavits can only be entered into court proceeding about what they claim happened. The campaign just got discovery last week. Let's have a full and open vetting of the sworn affidavits the whistleblowers have submitted that's what the Dems called for when they didn't even have on the record sworn testimony we were all supposed to believe people hiding in anonymity.

I'm not surprised you would think voter suppression is okay.
