Yep. . .and I guess you have a wife and two kids to support, and a student loan to pay back, right?

By the way. . .are you working in a government jobs? You know. . .those jobs that the Right are trying to cut (yep. . .that includes military!)

Do you realize how ridiculous your comment sounds?

Have you ever heard of John Lewis? Martin Luther King Jr.?

Nope. Just the opposite. He set those idiots up, they took the bait like the idiots they are and he poked them in the eye with it. Pretty much like he's done with the feckless Republicans since day one and what he will continue to do for the next two years.

And he slapped them down when he said: "I will never have to go through an election again" (sarcastic "applause" from the Right). . .
and his quick reply to that ATTEMPT by the right to put him down: "I KNOW, I WON THE ELECTIONS TWICE!"

And. . .guess what. . .I bet that reply was NOT "planned!"

I love how cool and collected he is under pressure. . .and how bright he is at showing their ennemies pettiness!

The law that says a President has to notify Congress 30 days in advance of any GITMO release. Obama should know about this law quite well considering he signed it. Illegally releasing terrorists...hmm, that seems like an impeachable offense to me.

No one but Obama and the investigators know if he was declared a deserter or not....but the investigation is over, and they are refusing to release the results publicly for some reason....probably because Obama doesnt like the results. And judging from the statements from the guys in his platoon, he is most definitely a deserter.

National Intelligence estimate is at 30% either confirmed or suspected as returning to the battlefield.

I got it. Was just going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't really being that childish. Guess you were.

Well, then it's impeachment time then. No?

The whole thing sounded to me like he was turning in his two weeks notice and trying to justify to his supervisors (us) why he deserved Employee of the Month before he left.

So you work full-time, pay your own rent/food/utilities, and go to school on $38,000 a year paying for school as you go out of your salary?

You should be commended. That is amazing. Kudos to you.

If you recall, Obama, in the signing statement said the law would not override his authority as Commander-in-Chief. He exerted his Constitutional authority in that position.

The guys in his platoon aren't in the position to make the decision on desertion. You don't know the results of the inquiry, so it's merely your guess.

Of that 30% confirmed or suspected figure, is 99% of that suspected and 1% confirmed? Or is it 100% of that 30% all suspected?

Maybe you should click the link in that post to find out who REALLY called Obama our "First Black Democrat."

    Hint: She's a Liberal.

I did not listen to any of Obama's lying speech, and I'm no doubt better for it.

Thank you. . .I did click the link and saw what you met.

I do believe it was a mistake, and that what she met to say was "the first Black Democrat President." That would make sense.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Yep. . .you're probably right!

Some people can't handle the truth, or experience dissonance between what they have believed due to propaganda and brainwashing (Fox News? Limbaugh?) and REALITY!

Ha, no. They will want a future Republican President to be able to get away with the same (*)(*)(*)(*).

Obama has set so many dangerous precedents its not even funny.

Well the GI Bill pays for my school. I do work full time, but I also live with my girlfriend who made about 30k last year. We have separate accounts and all that, but I don't live beyond my means, I didn't buy an extravagant car, I didn't have kids, I saved money from my time in the marine corps, and now I live comfortably for a 26 year old. I'm absolutely fine with having to work for my money, that's how it works. If I want the higher paying jobs, I have to suffer through this (*)(*)(*)(*)ty stretch of work and school at the same time for four years. I have one day a week that I have free. Some days I literally don't have a minute to spare between class, work, and sleep, sometimes not eating but once a day because I'm on the run.

My parents divorced when I was 13, my dad got custody since I was his, he moved out a year later, and left me and my brother to grow up. He paid the bills, but he wasn't around to give us lunch money or come to our games or take us to practice.

I do that because I know when I finish school I will have a more stable secure life. There's no reason everyone cant do the same thing, UNLESS they had kids young or were jailed.

I understand medical things and family issues arise, but in today's world you have to put in the work to get ahead.

That is very commendable of you. I truly congratulate you for having a good head on your shoulders and the courage to see your goals through.

However, the fact that you led your life pretty well from a young age, and that you benefit from the GI bill, a productive girl friend and NO RESPONSIBILIES of children is in great part responsible for your success. . .

Unfortunately, everyone is not as lucky (and/or smart) as you are. . .and mistakes made during late teenage years or early adulthood (i.e., unwanted pregnancies, encounters with the law, or simply a lower IQ) may become almost unreachable barriers to success.

Good for you. I wish you the very best. You deserve it, but I hope you don't take this success as an opportunity to bash those who are less lucky than you are!

With a little empathy and compassion. . .you would really be exceptional!

That must be a new term. The first time I ever heard it was tonight when Obama was speaking. Not surprising to log in and see progressives like you now using it as if it has been an accepted colloquial term all along. Googling the term, the first 3 pages of results are all from just a few hours ago.

This is what progressives do with language. "Tax increases" become "revenue enhancements". "War on Terror" becomes "overseas contingency operations". "Islamic terrorism" becomes "man caused disasters". "Global warming" becomes "climate change". Whenever one of your buzz words gets shot down or takes on too much stank, just invent a new one and pretend it existed all along.

I don't know which Marxist/Alinsky tactic this is, specifically revolving around language manipulation, but it is a tactic, and I recognize it.
