I remember not long ago many were up in arms about GE paying zero taxes and getting a return, all due to loopholes. Now fast forward to a few months later and we have those very same **********s fighting tooth and nail to save those loopholes for the rich. How much more of a hyprocrite phony can one be?

And, and, and what about the 50% of Americans who pay no income tax due to loopholes? Where's the perpetual outrage about them, Montoya? Talk about hypocrites. Is anyone more hypocritical than a liberal?

You do realize that there is a difference between "Corporate Taxes" and "Individual Income Taxes", don't you?

and why are you so intent on Class warfare? Unfairness for one group of Americans?

Tea Partiers aren't for LOOPholes. They are AGAINST WASTE. More money from the so called Rich means that waste continues. And you need to think about this. When the coffers of the so-called Rich dry up...what are you moochers gonna do? Eat each other?

Talk about "unclear on the concept"!!!

The 50% who MIGHT pay no FEDERAL taxes are FAMILIES with MULTIPLE CHILDREN who earn earn LESS than average income.

The "perpetual outrage" on the part of DECENT PEOPLE is about MILLIONAIRES who pay little or nothing on their MILLION DOLLAR INCOMES!

    There IS a difference!

Another Tea Party accusation of "conspiracy"?

Is a corporate PR machine "pulling your threads"?

There isn't supposed to be one.....That is the reason corporations are supposed to be recognized as an indivdual.

Dear tea party members of this forum,

In the OP a question was posed for the tea party on a perceived hypocrisy. Now I understand there has been a little bit of hostile commentary between both sides here, and agree we should put that behind us, however the question remains unanswered.

I have seen this happen with many threads before involving hypocrisy of the right, where many right wing posters will perform tricks not to answer the question at hand. I am not saying all on the right are like this, or that there are none on the left who do this also.

In essence, to the tea party members on this forum, you can either continue to play games and avoid answering the question, thus conceding that you are incapable of answering it and thus proving the hypocrisy of the tea party in this regard, OR you can attempt to answer the question and attempt to show how it is or is not hypocritical.

I'm not a Tea Partier, though I will side with their basic agenda of smaller govt. Being new to the forum, I don't know what has been said here. From keeping up with the debt ceiling debate, I gathered that it was no tax increases and no new taxes that the TP was clamoring about. I don't think it's nuancing the point too much to point out that there's a difference between tax increases and/or new taxes and tax reform. Closing loopholes or ending subsidies is tax reform. New taxes and tax increases are self-explanatory.

I would point out that printing more money devalues our dollar which is a tax on every one of us.

As a Tea Party conservative, I am against loopholes, corporate taxes or any other form of production tax. I am against income tax as well.

    I'm for the Fair Tax.

Then how can you fight tooth and nail to keep those loopholes? As I recall President Obama agreed to medicare cuts if the **********s agreed to close loopholes. Of course they stamped their feet like little children. The hypocrisy is strong with this one.

Do you need any extra hay for your straw-man argument?

First, if tea Partiers are against "loopholes", whd did they hold our country hostage and cause a downgrade of our credit rating by blocking the plan that gave the Tea Party what they wanted, except plus closing loopholes?

Second, Herman Cain, a Tea Party favorite, has promised he would not introduce ANY legislation longer than THREE PAGES! Is the Fair Tax going to take less than THREE pages?

We can seriously doubt the Fair Tax plan will ONLY be 3 pages long! Cain's promise didn't even last through the first primary!

    The Tea Party stands for

    Taxed

    Enough

    Already

That position was there in the beginning and hasn't changed.
