Barack Obama is who ranks dead last in job creation, and he was responsible for the most expensive increase in unemployment ever known. How many billion did he spend to have unemployment go from the low sevens to over nine percent.

Let me sum this entire joke of a thread up in 1 large swoop:

"we on the left must now attack Rick Perry at all costs b/c some poll was taken and he came out the winner! Therefore all barrels fire on Rick Perry!!"

    /thread.

    Everything else is junk.

We now have 2 threads slamming Rick Perry and Texas. This means the DNC marching orders are out and it's an all out assault on Perry. The guy hasn't even been nominated for anything.

When the next poll comes out and Bachman or someone else is leading, you will see the angle change to them. It's a totally transparent process on the left, you can see them coming from a mile away.

How about if we split the difference, and shoot for July 2009?

    http://www.twc.state.tx.us/news/press/2009/071709epress.pdf

At that time, late July 2009, the unemployment rate in Texas, according to this official State of Texas website, was 7.5%, compared with the national unemployment rate of 9.5%.

In June of this year, the unemployment rate in Texas was 8.1% versus the national unemployment rate of 9.1%. Thus, the unemployment rate in Texas had increased by 0.6% since July 2009, and the national unemployment rate had decreased by 0.4%.

Is that what you're looking for... to show that the unemployment rate in Texas has gone up a tiny bit, while the unemployment rate in the rest of the country has dropped by an even smaller amount? Seems like a hell of a lot of effort to prove something so inconsequential, but hey, if it makes you happy....

Selective reading I see. If anyone wants to know the truth they'll have to go to the link.

So, it remains established that a significant portion of Texas's growth is based on government spending....

Texas is actually ranked the 4th lowest State when it comes to Government spending as a percentage of GDP. With State and Local being at 15.60 percent.

Try to post a graph from a truthful source. "Think Progress" has no other aim but to place progressive democrats in power. Funded by George Soros of course. If you believe thier propaganda, imo, your opinins fall victim to and support lies...

no, its because companies have moved into Texas, creating jobs in a more suitable economy.

Good Lord, people don't uproot themselves just to move to Texas, they go to where the jobs are. This thread is a train wreck of liberal logic. And just because someone would rather take a lower paying job instead of sucking off the government, that shouldn't be counted as a negative unless you are a liberal.

Nobody's going to read a list of numbers; for this crowd you have to keep it simple, like crayon-level. Bottom line, as I've already shown (in a crayon-like manner, which drew the ire of the crayon-chewers), TX has been running 8.2% unemployment for over a year-and-a-half. There is no improvement in that number; just as there is little or no improvement in the composite US unemployment number over the past year-and-a-half. Both entities (the US and TX) have created enough jobs to hold unemployment more-or-less steady (as new workers enter the system, and as some 'discouraged' workers undoubtedly fall out of the system).

S-t-a-g-n-a-n-t; kind of like the public water supply in DFW

Your spin is wasted... but I will give you an A for effort ;)

I wonder what it would feel like to debate someone who knew what he was talking about. Well I guess I'll never find out.

Texas unemployment rate has been fluctuating between 8 percent and 8.2 for two years. So has the reset of the nation. Texas unemployment situation is much better than pretty much majority of the union.

Most of the jobs came from the states themselves. The US (Obama namely) barely created any.

If you can't read it, there are net loses for Texan Jobs created by the Federal Government for the month of June, May, February of this year and June throughout November of Last Year. No job creation from the US Federal Government for Texas.

Nothing but net loses of jobs from Federal Government. The Private Section on the other hand has gotten Net gains. The Federal Government hasn't done much to create jobs for Texans, Perry has. It is no secret why he desperately needs to take time off just to come up with another Jobs plan. Too bad we will have to wait an entire month to hear just another speech. By then I'm sure we will get another net lose for Texan Jobs from the Federal Government.
