They don't need an exact place and time warning to step up security. Hamas itself has expressed surprise at how successful their attack was, indicating either that the IDF is weaker than people thought or that they were slacking.

The date itself should have put them on increased guard, as should have the warning from Egypt.

Nobody has - this whole thread is poor guesswork. If Israel knew that Hamas were sending in a small invasion force and where, they could quite comfortably have killed them all and STILL had international support to go into Gaza to take out the commanders and remaining members. They could have prevented any hostages being taken and now face the very real prospect of incurring considerable casualties in the underground tunnels. Absent of hostages in there, they could have swept the tunnels with flamethrowers, robotic machinery etc. Now they are forced to take care to clear each section with hostages in mind.

But did they do any of that?

The question is what motivates them to decide that. They don't need strong evidence the attack will happen to remain or increase violence, especially under Netanyahu who ran on keeping people safe from exactly this sort of thing. Even if he didn't slack here on purpose, he failed to live up to his promises.

Or be blinded by ideology. Politicians have done things like this in the past, that will eventually come to light. Here it isn't even an explicit lie, like WMD in Iraq etc. He can try to play dumb.

He also may have expected Israel to rally behind him and forget about other domestic political issues he has been dealing with (ie, the courts issue).

That reminds me of Rudy Giuliani, Mayor of New York during 9/11 who did a **** job during it and then later ran on the memory of the tragedy for president. Or how "with us or against us" became the mantra of millions as George Bush's popularity increased (no I don't think either initiated 9/11).

Spin it however you want. At the end of the day, Netanyahu failed to live up to his own promises. If he did so on purpose and if he will pay for it politically is yet unkown.

    Let's see the evidence first.

Evidence that he failed to live up to his promise to protect Israel? You have that already.

That's silly. Nobody can be 100% not make errors.

This is a pretty massive error.

Summarize it! Show where you have attempted to verify any of it.

In order to verify it I'd have to go to Gaza and see things first hand. I never said I was one hundred percent sure of anything. The alternative press has much more credibility than the mainstream press* so it would be silly to ignore what they say and just listen to the mainstream. Why don't you give your analysis of the video?

Did your source do this!? Why do your sources ignore accounts that contradict it?
How Could Israeli Intelligence Miss the Hamas Invasion Plans? (csis.org)
How Hamas duped Israel as it planned devastating attack | Reuters
Needless to say, neither of those will be read by you.

Why did you quote me and fail to answer why you didn't summarize it?

Yet no matter what evidence is presented, if it is not from "alternative" sources (that invariably support your claims!) you will dismiss it. That is effectively saying "no amount of evidence will suffice if it is mainstream"!
    Ludicrous circular reasoning.
You first! For once. Max Igan is hardly a credible source for starters. His video is replete with bare assertions and inaccuracies. The Egyptians "warned" Israel but gave absolutely nothing that was actionable!

Here's an interesting theory I just came across.

Brighteon Broadcast News, Nov 7, 2023 - Gaza being exterminated to make way for lucrative Ben Gurion CANAL that will cut across Israel to the Red Sea
    https://www.brighteon.com/c628d9c0-d2c6-470c-aaf9-ab6bf26083eb

I've only watched the first ten minutes of the video but I'm posting it anyway.
