I'm glad your wife hasn't been injured. I suspect that's true for most, but it's not an excuse for Trump ignoring this issue of the baseless hate he promoted over and over again spilling into America.

 

That's of interest, but it is not proof of anything. There were others sick with COVID in the fall of 2019.

We need to learn how this actually happened.

For example, we would need to know if these individuals actually had the COVID strain that spread. We would then need to know if what they got was something from the lab. Then we need to know how it got to the lab in the first place. And, other questions exist as well.

In the end, we need the Wuhan lab to be in full working order. THAT is our first defense against future versions of SARS - which are essentially certain to happen, as there are many thousands existing just in the bat and pangolin populations.

Making this a "hate China" issue is something we can NOT AFFORD. We need it to be a science issue. Our two nations as well as the entire world share other branches of science, such as with space exploration.

A real "win" on this would be to have epidemiologists from the US and other countries working INSIDE that lab. That's not going to happen with the right wing *******s brodcasting their hate. It's going to happen by growing trust and cooperation.

Without the Wuhan lab, that WE helped support, the world would not have learned of COVID19 so early.

Look at this list. Ranks all the countries by Covid cases and deaths. Scroll down long enough you find something surprising. China is 98th! China a nation of over a billion people where the virus originated is 98th!

China reported fewer cases than Ghana and Finland. You believe that? There could be millions of deaths from Covid in that country and they lied about it!

Trump didn't make any statement about the lab that was based on actual information. His "hate China" direction was purely for the benefit of his domestic politics.

And, you are STILL jumping to conclusions concerning the lab.

We need to know what acutally went on. Pretending the answer is known is how to STOP learning the truth.

We need to insist on getting to the bottom of what happened. That will help inform how to best protect America against the next virus.
