My view on impeachment is that it is a total waste of time, energy and money. That holds true for Bill Clinton and Trump twice and holds true again if the GOP controlled house impeaches Biden. There isn’t a snowballs chance in hell of impeachment succeeding, that is getting the senate, 2/3rds of the senate to vote guilty for removal. All impeachments have been done in my opinion only to placate their partisan base. Everyone knows there isn’t any chance at all of success. Hence, impeachments are just a waste for very partisan reasons. For impeachment and removal to stand a bit of a chance of success, you must have at least 65% of all Americans in favor along with at least a third of the president’s party.

The House GOP has for months accused Biden of corruption. But after interviewing dozens of witnesses and sifting through the Biden family’s financial records, they have found no evidence of wrongdoing by the President...

Multiple House Republicans, including Matt Gaetz and Ken Buck, have previously indicated that the impeachment inquiry is really just a move to discredit Biden in voters’ eyes, instead of actually impeaching him. But the investigation hasn’t turned up anything to actually discredit Biden, either.

Instead, almost every one of Republicans’ witnesses has actually debunked the GOP’s claims. Multiple witnesses said that Biden was never involved in his son’s foreign business dealings and never benefited from them, either.

Even House Oversight Chair James Comer, who spearheaded the investigation, has started backing down from his previously gung-ho attitude about impeachment. Despite spending all of 2023 insisting Biden was guilty and should be impeached, Comer said just two weeks ago that his “job was never to impeach.”

Now the narrative is that impeachment is appropriate when it comes to Biden. Partisan impeachment is as Trump said, a kangaroo court. Unlike Trump I see kangaroos on both sides of the political coin.

Partisan politics is about digging up or fabricating dirt about the other side while turning a blind eye to like dirt on our own side. If the right and left actually cared about morals, ethics, law and order they would join together to root out the abundant corruption on both sides. Yet they are only interested in the blame game. Hypocrites all!

 

Then the GOP needs to stop doing what Trump wants. He doesn't want the Repubs to vote on Biden's plan for immigration because Donnie doesn't want Biden to get the credit. How childish is that!
