Since Biden has announced he’ll seek reelection, the Democratic Party leaders don’t want him challenged. History hasn’t been kind to sitting presidents seeking reelection who were challenged by a recognized name. Truman in 1952 and LBJ in 1968 dropped out during the primaries, their party lost in the general election. Ford, Carter, G.H.W. Bush were challenged and beat their challenger in their respective party’s primaries, but all lost in the general. One can’t blame the leaders of the Democratic Party and their media outlets to downplay RFK Jr. challenged to Biden or to deny him a platform.

They’re may indeed be a disconnect between the Democratic Party leaders and their rank on file when it comes to Biden. Not necessary the rank and file want RFK Jr., but they would like someone else. At least that’s what the polling suggests. Also look at the all of American’s column in the three questions above. On Biden running again 24% of all Americans want him to run again, 60% don’t. On Biden being the strongest candidate the democrats can run, 19% of all Americans say he is, 61% say Biden isn’t.


The Republicans are the opposite, the party leaders would like to have someone other than Trump as their nominee, but the rank and file want Trump. What are RFK Jr.’s chances, today, I’d say close to zero. Tomorrow, who knows?

I've been amused at how much I've seen folks being told the left must be afraid of Robert Kennedy Jr. I suppose in a way, it's true. Anti-Science people CAN be dangerous because who knows what they'll choose to believe instead. It could be anything, though like most things that reject reason and logic, it will probably have an emotional basis.

We already have the MAGA crowd and the progressive crowd acting purely on emotion, I think we're doing just fine in that department. No need to bolster it with another mindless skinsuit.

Here in my rational blue state, our Governor, early on, banned all China Virus Tyranny such as mandatory mask wearing, business/school closing, etc. We chose to live life. (We often joke that our kids will be doctors and astronauts while blue state kids are still in their pajamas at home trying to learn to read.) The China Virus simply isn't an issue here and hasn't been for years. We are FREE to do what we want ... or not. And things are going great. Its all history to us now and things are good.

 

The China Virus is a dim memory here. We're fine. If you want to vax... vax. If you don't... don't. Its called FREEDOM. And we're doing fine.
