Under aged children do not have the same rights as adults. I don’t agree with it but blame the liberals for that mess. If kids had the same rights as adults law enforcement would face the “consequences” (there’s that word again) of their actions.

Side bar; I like the taser. I think it’s the coolest thing when dealing with out of control people. I think everybody should be required to own and carry a taser. It’s simple to use and most effective. What a wonderful invention.

As someone who grew up in the 60s and got my fair share of tear gas and police baton knocks and arrests for civil disobedience, I find the sheep-like attitude of today's right-wingers toward authority pathetic.
Kent State didn't scare us away, and that was the low point in the struggle against the lunacy of the Vietnam war.
Today, angry right-wingers bleat all sorts of seditious threats from behind their keyboards but then fold like a cheap lawn chair at the thought of actually risking their hides to take a principled stand against authority.
They have a lot to learn from the OWS activists, not the least of which is to grow a set and stop grovelling and whining.

First off Police Officers are not properly trained to handle kids, especially not kids with disabilities and such. I read all these articles and only one of the reactions of the officers was even "reasonable" to me as a parent.

It's not like I am a soft parent either; I expect my children to behave, not mouth off, respect authority and what not. While I can see how some of these kids were in the wrong, there is a huge difference between in the wrong and criminal intent.

Bottom line is these are KIDS, they are not adults, they do not process things as adults do, and they cannot be held to the adult standard of your typical police officer. The level of aggressive discipline used by the officers and security guard far exceeds even what would be allowed by the parents of these children...

Does this mean can I taser my 8 year old for jumping on his bed? "Force taser" my 17 year old for arguing with his father? Pepper spray my 13 year old for refusing to clean his room? How about zip tying my 6 year old for throwing a temper tantrum?



I found the first link, the Texas article quite disturbing, if these kids need aid to attend college they should not be denied it for doodling on their desks when they were 13, or throwing a temper tantrum when they were 6. Where is the common sense?


I also question these "fines", I'd be curious to know who is the beneficiary of that money - is there a greed trail here at the expense of these kids' futures?

1) Public schools are internment/leftitst-socialist propaganda facilities for children so that parents can be free to work and send a good portion of their earnings to the State while their children are mentally torn from them. If you have any conscious whatsoever, pull your kid out of school and home-school them or find a good private school.

2) Taking the first case...Using excess perfume to 'get back' at others is not only offensive but disruptive to the class-room environment. It's obvious this girl has problems with A.D.D. and exhibiting defiance behavior. I am all for arresting the little narcissistic mush-brained, liberal-socialist brainwashed idiots and giving them a dose of reality.

 

So it appears conservatives and right wingers have perfect kids. Never over stepping the mark and never misbehaving. Too frightened of their consquences in case they get beaten, tasered, shackled or worse. Parenting with an iron fist hand doesn't always produce the "perfect" child. Possibly quite the opposite.

Look, we raised two beautiful daughters. Now two very well adusted adults who contribute to society, well educated with good jobs. We never raised our girls with iron fists, we never even raised our hands to them. Yes there were times when they over stepped the mark, children do this but it was always handled with diplomacy and tact. Were they ever punished, you bet they were, where the punishment was appropriate to the misdeed. We also allowed our daughters to develop as adults at their own pace and not clones of their parents. Bloody hell, both girls even have tattoos, although discrete, which both my wife and I don't have.

Parenting has nothing to do with political stance,,but love, trust and common sense.

 

Living in a free country does not mean you are living in a country where your fellow citizens always exercise good judgment. The stories in the OP are stories of poor judgment by some citizens in our country.

 

The end result of mixing school with state.

 

Punishment for police in this country is a joke. Any officer that acts out of line should get double the sentence that would be assigned to an ordinary citizen. We live in a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing police state, and we can't even defend ourselves.

 

And it won't get any better. Do something about it now before the jackboot of Authoritarianism presses down harder on your collective heads.
