    @Patricio Da Silva
I got your 'impeachment inquiry' right here:

Nothing here.... move along... all on the up and up ..... it is a fake news CNN article so take it for what it is worth... another "we got to see a secret letter no one else has" article... once again the Biden administration is covering up for Biden... ""The White House memo to media organization leadership included a 14-page appendix comprehensively fact-checking what it called "key lies" being pushed by House Republicans."" as we see once again the WH does their own "fact checking" without any push back or counter responses that uncovers their own lies and misdeeds..."By controlling the language, Big Brother controls the way that the people think."

I got your 'impeachment inquiry' right here:

    "Peters, Robert L." Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov

In a four-week period in 2016, for instance, John Flynn, who worked in the Office of the Vice President, sent Joe his official daily schedule to his private email address Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov and copied Hunter. Why would the son of the VP be allowed in on government business? National security risk anyone?
There were 10 such emails copied to Hunter between May 18 and June 15, 2016.

Did you say the dems looked like morons after Trump was investigated by the dems for two years for Russia collusion and yet the dems came away with nothing?

There was no vote required to launch the impeachment inquiry. Nancy Pelosi changed the rules on that...lol.

A vote was held and it passed on the first inquiry, but not the second.

One big difference was that on both impeachments, Dems had evidence, but a spineless Senate afraid of retribution from Trump, who had a powerful sway over some 75 million people, were too scared to stand up to Trump and do the right thing. If they had done so, we would not be in our present situation, today.

My view is that the fact that Trump's DOJ OLC memo will not be honored, given that Pelosi didn't have a vote for the second inquiry.

However, there were impeachment votes on both.

But, the premise of the OP is that the impeachment inquiry is going nowhere, which I believe is true.

I got your 'impeachment inquiry' right here:

Influence peddling is when one obtain favours or preferential treatment for another...
It makes Joe Biden a foreign agent that failed to register as a foreign agent.... Foreign Agents Registration Act ... Read up on it...

Joe did not sanction Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina when the other Russian were sanctioned.. (obtain favours or preferential treatment for another)... Joe was at a dinner with Baturina

An honest and thorough DOJ investigation will get you the "Irrefutable Proof linking any money to Joe?" you seek...... Where is the corrupt DOJ investigating suspicious activity's in the Biden shady dealings........

Remember... Comer only has to uncover "reasonable suspicion" to meet the low bar of a DOJ investigation... he has went way beyond that...
Nancy Mace nails it on the head... she says just that....
""The DOJ needs to get off its ass and investigate... we've done the work for them so they can not screw it up now""

Perhaps the reason the forum's Republicans do not talk about what their party is doing is because what their party is doing is downright strange.

ABC reports, "Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced Tuesday he was ordering House Republicans to move ahead with an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

"Today, I am directing our House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden," McCarthy said at the U.S. Capitol in a short formal statement. He did not take questions from reporters.

"McCarthy previously indicated there would be a full House vote for an impeachment inquiry, as has happened in the past, but as of Tuesday he didn't appear to have the votes to open one. A spokesperson for McCarthy tells ABC News that McCarthy is not expected to hold a vote to launch the impeachment inquiry.

"This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather the full facts and answers for the American public," he said on Tuesday. "That's exactly what we want to know -- the answers."

The answers to what? McCarthy didn't say.

“These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption. They warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives. That’s why today I am directing our House (committees) to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden,” McCarthy.

What are the allegations? What did our President do wrong? No one knows, not McCarthy, and not the far-right Republicans in the House. All we get are baseless accusations.

"House Republicans have been investigating for months alleged ties implicating Biden in his son's business dealings, but have so far have not been able to prove any wrongdoing by the president," ABC.

The ludicrous nature of this impeachment inquiry suggests that Trump had a hand in this to take the heat off his 91 charges and four criminal indictments.

Once again Republicans are digging themselves a hole. By their own admission, they don't know what the President did wrong. So, they launch an inquiry to find out if he did anything wrong. That is backwards. The wrongdoing is suppose to come first. Followed by investigations of the wrongful act.

No one would blame them if the forum's Republicans refuse to defend their party on these issues.

Why do you continue to believe this strawman exonerates The Big Guy?

For what was the Biden family receiving TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS through almost two dozen shell companies into their private bank accounts?
Why did The Big Guy lie about his knowledge of and involvement in it? Why did he try to hide his involvement by using fake email addresses?
Why did The Big Guy lie about the family receiving money from China?

Like usual, you are wrong... if you want to talk "precedent", then here you go...
    Article 1, section 2
“The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.”

Separation of powers .... the executive branch has no say in the legislative business.. nice try at deflection from the facts...

Where Is the Evidence, Speaker McCarthy?

There is a certain pattern to modern impeachment inquiries. They typically begin after the discovery of blatantly incriminating evidence. In 1998 the House of Representatives began its impeachment inquiry only after DNA tests on Monica Lewinsky’s blue dress exposed that Bill Clinton had lied under oath about their affair.

In 2019 the House opened its impeachment inquiry only after it received reports that Donald Trump had attempted to coerce President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine into investigating Trump’s chief domestic political opponent. The day after Nancy Pelosi announced the inquiry, the White House released a rough transcript of Trump’s call with Zelensky, and Americans could see that Trump did indeed press Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden, as a “favor” in response to Ukraine’s request for Javelin anti-tank missiles.

And we all know what happened after Jan. 6, 2021. The House initiated the second impeachment of Trump only after his weekslong festival of lies about election fraud culminated in a violent attack on the Capitol. On Monday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ordered the House Oversight, Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees to start an impeachment inquiry into Biden without anything approaching comparable evidence.

It's a big nothingburger sandwich............and everybody (including Repubs) knows it.

You make a good point, although Democrats were successful in impeaching Trump, twice, using Articles of Impeachment which did not even include the enumeration of any actual crimes!

Bottom line? This is NOT something that Republicans should mess with until or unless they have PROOF of actual crimes which are even eligible for impeachment charges.

I just realized that Pelosi didn't abide by it, either, on the second impeachment, (she did take a vote on the first inquiry) so it's pretty much null. But, the inquiry isn't going anywhere, anyway.

Only because a spineless senate feared retribution from Trump and his base, and couldn't stand up to him.

That won't be the case in these indictments.

Democrats? The SC Mueller was a republican, assigned by Rosenstein, a republican, who was appointed by Trump.

    MR produced:

    1. The investigation produced 37 indictments.
    2. There were seven guilty pleas or convictions.
    3. The investigation provided compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions.
    4. Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the Department of Justice.
    5. Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.
    6. A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of justice.
    7. The investigation found that Russia engaged in extensive attacks on the U.S. election system in 2016.
    8. The investigation identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump Campaign and established that the Trump Campaign showed interest in WikiLeaks’s releases of documents and welcomed their potential to damage candidate Clinton.
Looks a lot more like something, a lot of somethings, to me.
