Are you referring to the CPI? The CPI is calculated based on a weighted average of a basket of goods/services. The effect varies widely on individuals. A 2% increase in the CPI could result in a gain for one individual who did not see a wage increase, and a loss for another who experienced a 5% wage increase.

You better check your SS cost of living increase, "Monthly Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for more than 66 million Americans will increase 2.0 percent in 2018." When I calculated my increase it is 2.23%, so I assume their figure is rounded.

So now you're accusing me of lying? I didn't say there have been no cost increases over the last 2 years, I said MY cost of living hasn't increased over the last 2 years, perhaps even longer, considering my son graduated from college last year so I no longer have that expense.

So that means we should just outright ban travel from those countries now? The FACT remains that almost ALL of our muslim terrorists were American CITIZENS, and one of the nations most prominently EXEMPTED from Trump's ban was the KSA where all but ONE of the 9/11 terrorists came from

He never attempted to pass a Muslim ban, he only ever talked about it. When you talk about it being "thwarted by the legal system", you're thinking about the legal challenges to the travel ban.

 

You need to do some research and get your facts straight. His original travel ban was a Muslim ban.
