    Spending won't be cut.
No president or congress has cut spending in the last 30+ yrs.

So we either try to pay for it or keep going into debt.
There will be no shutdown. R's threaten it, but eventually cave.

Don't vote for incumbents. Since they are the one's spending.
Don't vote for existing or past presidents, they have signed all that big spending.

Vote like you want spending cuts. No incumbents or previous incumbents.

Exponential debt growth began with Regan.
    How do you figure?
    It would accomplish neither.
All Americans are beneficiaries of tax payer dollars.
The rules OUR government plays by were written by big bankers and financiers on Jekyll Island in 1910
Nelson Aldrich, A. Piatt Andrew, Henry Davison, Arthur Shelton, Frank Vanderlip, J.P. Morgan, Paul Warburg and others.
    Wuuuuuuuuut? Who's they?

I asked how YOU stand in it. Should the R's hold the line on spending or should the Dems be allowed to continue to blow up the deficit?

No, the R's should not hold the line.
Because they don't actually care. As evidenced by every R president in history.

trump spent more than all the other R presidents.
    With a R congress.

The Republican Party retained their majority in both the House and the Senate, and, with inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2017, attained an overall federal government trifecta for the first time since the 109th Congress in 2005. This remains the last Congress to date in which the Republican Party held a trifecta.
