    As responsible Americans we should see the need for some restrictions, but only if they come by Constitutional Amendment. Until then, you are correct, NO restrictions...

    Only an idiot liberal would want background checks for citizens exercising their constitutional rights, yet not want background checks for foreign nationals entering our country. What a screwed up bunch of asshat morons.

    Yes, but there are a lot fewer of them than there are of everyone else.

    The NRA will get its way once again, and straw man purchases and the gun show loophole will continue to allow the industry to sell a weapon to any nut or criminal ambitous enough to find the holes that the NRA has conventienly inserted into nearly every gun law.

    But come national election time, voters will be reminded that the GOP, carrying the water of its NRA clients, sabatoged something that over eight out of ten Ameicans want.

    The NRA may win its victory, but this will be one more point in how the GOP is losing the war.
