Then we disagree on what government should exist for. I believe that the government should exist to maximize prosperity for workers. Part of this is common sense regulations and taxes to reduce the flaws of the free market and human nature. The second is not getting so involved in the market that it is excessively hampered. You seem to prefer minimizing the size of government. How is this a better goal than prosperity?

Income exclusions are available to everyone. You still didn’t answer the question. What percent of income taxes should Kushner pay?

Again, we should all pay a fixed percentage. The SAME percentage.

I’d settle for that. Or a consumption tax.

You are at odds with the Constitution and the Founding Father's intent.

How does someone that is having difficulty buying groceries from their children pay the “same percentage” as someone who is considering whether to buy hundreds of millions of dollars worth of neighboring homes just so they can increase their privacy?

No other country does this, we already have the largest income inequality in the world and you and your ilk want to make it substantially worse.

The constitution that one of the framers said should be rewritten every 19 years to stay current? Or the one that specifically mentions promoting the general welfare?

Simple, they both pay the same percentage.

The millionaire is still paying more.

We have the most progressive tax system and its still not enough for the left.

    Why? Class warfare.

I don't necessarily agree with everything you wrote but I do appreciate that you have obviously put some thought into and did an excellent job expressing yourself. Thank you for giving me food for thought.

We already do. It’s called sales tax. The more you buy the more you pay. Consumption tax.

Eating the rich occurs at the end of extreme wealth disparity and income inequality. Your system causes that.

It happens in every marxist system.

Venezuela is perhaps the most recent example.

My system? What country are you in?

We have the most progressive but are among the least redistributionist

We are indeed in the middle of a class warfare, the billionaires are winning - and they have their brainwashed puppets as their army.

The system of allowing mass accumulation and hoarding of wealth to the detriment of other citizens and the nation - perhaps the world - as a whole.

There is no such thing as a tax "loophole". There is tax law and then there are those who interpret the law. Congress makes the tax laws and they make them to fit their needs. The so called loopholes are there for a purpose. It's a game, and when the people learn the game and use the laws to fit their needs, congress changes the rules.

Ok... do you think the general welfare is promoted allowed billionaires to amass trillions in offshore accounts? Removing money from the US economy?
