Spencer Stone, one of the American heroes who stopped a terrorist attack on a French train in August, was stabbed multiple times early Thursday in downtown Sacramento and is in stable condition, the U.S. Air Force confirmed to USA TODAY. "A1C Spencer Stone has been transported to a local hospital, and is currently being treated for injury," Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Karns said in an email in Air Force Times. ABC10 in Sacramento reports that Stone was the victim in an assault near 21st and K streets in downtown Sacramento around 12:45 a.m. and that police were looking for a suspect. The Sacramento police department, without naming the victim, said on Facebook that the person was stabbed repeatedly in his upper body
yes, the facts aren't all in, but it clearly states he was assaulted not robbed...this means it was personal. Whether he was recognized from the French train incident, or he was in his military uniform, I dont' know. He was stabbed for personal reasons. This does not appear to be a random robbery gone bad. Edit; I'll retract my earlier comment based on additional intel. Sacramento police tweeted: “The assault incident is not related to a terrorist act. I read that the Dagestani terrorists are looking at the faces of the Russians in Syria, so they can retaliate on them when they get back. I believe they also retaliate on their families, and on their descendants for generations.
