It was amusing to watch Trey Gowdey shred the IRS Commissioner on the destruction of evidence. Trey Gowdey managed to crack John Koskinen and get him to admit the President and Jay Carney manufactured the notion of a conspiracy theory and the few rogue agents theory.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Avfm2urqdHM

So John Koskinen says there was no criminal wrongdoing because he never looked. Of course you will never see criminal wrongdoing if you destroy the evidence or never look at that evidence.

What I am really waiting to see is Trey Gowdey grilling the administration about Benghazi.

It's about time. Hopefully the voters will be motivated by the abject lawlessness of this administration and give the Republicans a healthy majority in both Houses of Congress. This way, since our attorney general refuses to do anything about Government employees like Lerner and this jabrony, they have enough of a majority to Impeach Holder right out of the DOJ.

I thought he was bright, logical, knowledgeable and to the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing point. I see you disagree with that assessment of mine... who would have guessed?

No, he did not. Gowdy did.

To be fair, I think they draw lots to split up the grandstanding and pandering so that each one gets their fair share of red meat to toss their salivating base.

In the video that you linked to, the answer was a clear "no". What you claim is not backed up by the video.

So did Paul Ryan. They all took turns yelling (literally yelling) at the IRS Commissioner and trying to trap him because they can't pin anything on the IRS.

This is basically what I just wrote, but your post is flawless.

“Spoliation of evidence is when a party fails to preserve evidence that there is a negative inference that the jury can draw from their failure to preserve the evidence. You with me? If you destroy documents that the jury could infer those documents weren’t going to be good for you. If you fail to keep documents a jury could infer that these documents were not going to be good for you. [...] When a party has a duty to preserve the evidence or records and they fail to do so, there is a negative inference that is drawn from their failure to preserve the evidence.”

    SOURCE

They should all go on trial for that, let the jury decide based on the legal negative inference that the jury can draw from their failure to preserve the evidence.

At the end of the day a few things are going to ring true to honest Americans.

    1. The IRS did indeed target TEA Party Groups. (Visits from the IRS, DEA, OSHA, FBI - Leaked Confidential Documents, Illegal Information requests, continued delays in approval without cause.)
    2. The IRS head planted a question in an audience before the investigation revealed this targeting and PUBLICLY APOLOGIZED.
    3. Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings illegally requested confidential TEA Party information from the IRS and received it.
    4. The IRS illegally provided confidential TEA Party information to: Democrat Congressmen, Political Opponents, Liberal Media, other Federal Agencies.
    5. The President of the United States said, "We will get to the bottom of this."
    6. Internal Revenue Service acting commissioner Steven Miller resigned
    7. The Appointed IRS Official from the Obama Administration visited the White House over 400 times up to 2013. His predecessor under Bush visited 1 time in 8 years.
    8. The head of the IRS (Lois Lerner) that planted the questions and apologized took the 5th Amendment in front of the U.S. Congress.
    9. The head of the IRS (Lois Lerner) then resigned with pay!
    10. The White House falsely claimed the targeting of the White House came from, "a few rogue agents in Cincinnati."
    11. Cincinnati agents testified that they had nothing to do with the decision to target the TEA Party groups, but were instructed by Washington, D.C.
    12. The President of the United States suddenly claimed, "not a smidgen of evidence". (Did he know the emails were destroyed?)
    13. The IRS Commission John Koskinen (Major Democratic Party Donor) claimed he would provide ALL the Lois Lerner emails when he knew 2 years were "lost".
    14. The head of the IRS had her computer "crash" destroying 2 years of evidence.
    15. The IRS claims no back up mechanism for saving emails available
    16. 6 More IRS staff involved in these attacks on the IRS also had their computers "crash" and information lost.
    17. The IRS reported all this data loss to the White House months prior to reporting it to Congress who was investigating. Congress had to ask to find out about the 6 additional crashes.
    18.... More to come!

These 17 facts should have any honest American upset. But, we have a group of people looking to DEFEND THE IRS ILLEGAL ACTIONS AT ALL COSTS!!!! We call those people Democrats. I welcome their continued defense as it only makes them look bad and will cost them huge amounts of votes in Novembers for years to come. Real Americans DON'T LIKE THE IRS... so keep defending them!!!

I figured out why Liberals love the IRS so much.... it's how they get other peoples' money. The IRS is their provider.

Because Lerner pleading the 5th, after her computer "miraculously" dumped her emails, shoulnd't be of concern to Americans.

Hilarious how the Spoonfed Obamapologists (what few there are left) keep trying to IGNORE THE KNOWN FACTS.

As was mentioned in earlier posts......people are PLEADING THE FIFTH. That alone is the single most important fact of the entire debacle. You don't plead the fifth if you don't know anything or you forgot what happened. The fifth is specifically for protection against self incrimination........that's its ONLY use. If someone pleads the fifth that means that they are using their constitutional right to not incriminate themselves in wrongdoing. That can only occur if you actually some wrongdoing.

The responses from the liberal hacks in this thread are of course the usual "nothing to see hear", "just a bunch of grandstanding", "just politics" etc. Of course they completely ignore the fact that......................PEOPLE HAVE ADMITTED TO IT AND ARE PLEADING THE FIFTH.

If you are referring to the other double jeopardy stuff then fine but in the context of my post I am clearly talking about pleading the fifth.http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Plead+the+Fifth

taking the Fifth n. the refusal to testify on the ground that the testimony might tend to incriminate the witness in a crime, based on the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution which provides that "No person....shall be compelled to be a witness against himself," applied to state courts by the 14th Amendment. The term became famous during televised Senate committee hearings on organized crime in 1951, when a series of crime bosses "took the Fifth." (See: self-incrimination)

    http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/fifth_amendment

The Fifth Amendment protects criminal defendants from having to testify if they may incriminate themselves through the testimony. A witness may "plead the Fifth" and not answer if the witness believes answering the question may be self-incriminatory.

Just saying so doesn't make it so. Did you bother to even google it or do you just assume that if someone opposed to you says something that they are lying. There is only one reason that someone would plead the fifth and that is because they don't want to self incriminate..........herego they did wrongdoing.

Read the US Constitution. NOT some leftprof's "VERSION", of it. Read what the 5th Amendment actually says. RBJ is ABSOLUTELY correct.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensatio

Please, can a Liberal here explain why someone would plead the 5th if they did NOTHING wrong? Why else would you reserve your right not to say anything. If there was no wrong doing, what could possibly be said that can be misconstrued?

This is hilarious once again. Gowdy never let him speak. Business as usual. Gowdy is pitiful! It was amazing the disrespect and the interruptions. Gowdy might as well been talking to himself, because he was. It is a joke as usual. He accomplished zero, but to try and humiliate someone who has done nothing wrong. Again, what evidence is there, and what law is Gowdy using to prosecute Lerner or anyone else? You brilliant folks from the right have yet to answer that question that is the nucleus of this make believe scandal. As predicted, Gowdy made a spectacle of himself entertaining only his donors for the Republican party. If Gowdy and the rest of the circus clowns never let witnesses speak, then game over for the committee. They have to prove wrong doing, but unfortunately for the wing nuts, there is no wrong doing to be proven. Congratulations Gowdy! You met expectations with your acting career once again. The man is a complete joke.
