Therein lies the rub. The law is a double-edged sword. Those who want to use the letter of the law as a weapon against others had better have their own house in order because the law does not pick favorites. Needless to say, those hypocrites who want the law to be their personal one way street deserve neither the power nor the protection of the law. Republicans in Congress who are pretending to have an exclusive franchise on the law to use for partisan purposes are enemies of the state. They do not deserve to be heard; they deserve to be hanged as traitors.
I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. Either she knew about it or didn't and if she didn't, which she claimed in her testimony that she was innocent, then at some point she can be compelled to testify again and again and again. Eventually she will crack either from enough pressure or if the committee offers her some sort of deal or immunity.
Somebody should inform liberals that we know what it means. It's the ******* commissioner with the law degree that doesn't.
That was great! Trey Gowdy had the smug Colonel Klink twisting and finally admitting he had a good argument. I'm looking forward to Hillary's appearance in front of Gowdy's committee. Should be very entertaining, who knows what Hillary will say this time.
it applies to every citizen as well as that case like it matters what you say that's not how it works that might go over nicely in jr high, it doesn't hold water with adults that want to be taken seriously
I think you're easily impressed. When Gowdy arrests Lois Lerner and Koskinen we'll have the beginning of accountability. When Gowdy solicits whistleblowers and presents their testimonies while protecting them in a new Republican protection program.......I'll be impressed. Until then.........this is sound and fury signifying nothing.
I see that you're changing your story rapidly! First off, as you have admitted, the GOP Congressional circus is not an actual court of law. So the rules of jurisprudence that govern real courts do not apply. OTOH the Constitutional rights that every American is entitled to are not magically suspended. If an innocent person is being bullied by a member of Congress, they have every right to refuse to speak, and, because it is not a court of law, this says absolutely nothing about any so-called guilt because they are not answering any charges. Pretending that there's a jury is just that--pretending. That begs the question of why the US taxpayer is paying these clowns to play pretend? As for the allegation of "destruction of evidence", once more that's a matter for real courts. And a real court would insist that the complainant provide evidence that there was actual evidence (not just the allegation of "evidence", but evidence itself), evidence that it was destroyed at the hand of the defendant (which does not appear to be the case), and that the defendant having clear criminal intent (even more remote). At this point, I don't see the GOP clown car coming close to proving even one of those points! You're talking big, but have nothing behind your words. You're all hat and no cattle. You're not fooling the American people in the "court of public opinion", and you certainly will not convince an actual court of law.
Nice. Making fun of people with birth defects. 'Hair lip' is such a caring and sensitive term. Just as we expect from liberals. And don't those people with spina bifida walk in a hilarious manner. You guys crack me up. And a dumb sounding accent and a family history of racism? Regional bigotry is so tres fresh. And yet, Democrats are the party of sensitivity and compassion. Could anyone tell me exactly how that happened? It certainly wasn't an earned honor. So we have a criminal Presidency and you are assaulting the one person in America who can clean out the cesspool which the White House has become. Why not send your invective towards the person who has caused the problem, Barack Obama? - - - Updated - - - Such as yourself, for instance?
never said it was a court of law it is an investigated body the are there to find and expose the facts evidence is anything the investigative body dreams as much to conduct there fact finding mission. so if they say those emails and hard drive is evidence it is evidence
I gotta admit...when righties think certain things are funny, like making fun of Michelle Obama's girth, I never see the humor. But start making fun of Sarah Palin, and I'm rolling on the floor amidst the kind of turd flinging that would have her crying if it were done in person. On the other hand...Trey Gowdy doesn't need you to be offended by what I joked about...and I'm thrilled I was able to rattle your fragile PC sensabilities. I thought righties were big and tough manly man. And all that crap about a criminal Presidency is drivel.
Assuming that "*******" is your mature and classy way of referring to liberals, what makes you think that Koskinen is a liberal?
What we know for sure is that throwing curve balls and using pre-made talking points doesn't seem to be working against Mr. Gowdy. This means that Hillary will have a really hard time with him since she's probably the slowest politician in terms of thinking on her feet that is in the spotlight right now.
Oh, really? So when are they going to end the "huffing and puffing" and get down to actual business? Weeks? Months? So now we're back to the fact that, as a non-judicial body, that the GOP caucus does not have the power of the judiciary, and that post after post pretending otherwise was for naught. And, as it always has been, when a private citizen claims "it's evidence", that claim carries the exact same weight as any other private opinion. And while it may onvoke wild imaginations in your mind, it never will anything more than that. A revenge fantasy, nothing else. Duly noted.
Maybe someone should tell them that the PC movement fizzled out about 15 years ago. OTOH I suppose that it's their job as reactionaries to be decades behind the times....
You know what they remind me of?.......they're like the kid in the sand box in Kindergarten who is throwing sand at the other kids, and gets chewed out by the teacher. After that point, they're the first to become the "sand throwing cop". If they see anything that resembles sand throwing, they'll be the first to tattle on the other kids he used to throw sand at. All the while claiming victim status.
Not all liberals are *******s, but all *******s are liberals. You don't really think Obama would appoint a conservative to the post of IRS commissioner, do you?
The emails will never be presented as evidence, even if Lerner said to target all Tea Party groups. The legal law as written automatically will trump any emails of that language by her, because by law, that is her job. At the end of the day, her real job as it is applied to the law, "IS" targeting.
