    I don't buy into BS. If there are less and less illegal immigration due to policies with Mexico, just reinforces why the physical wall is not needed.

    Trump's "remain in Mexico" strategy and Mexico's cooperation has led to less illegal immigration and "asylum", but it hasn't eliminated it entirely. It is only part of the solution, just as the wall is only part of the solution. As long as there is still illegal immigration, we still need more thorough and robust solutions.

    Plus, there is no guarantee of Mexico's indefinite support. They could change their minds tomorrow, and another caravan could be organizing the next day, leaving us needing the wall more than ever.

    It's like saying a prison doesn't need guards if it has a fence, and it doesn't need a fence if it has guards. It needs both. Likewise we need a multifaceted solution to illegal immigration and "asylum" abuse. Improving and/or adding sections of "wall" is part of that multifaceted solution.

    How about trying to get along with Mexico, our neighbor. 2nd time, if we don't work with Mexico, there is no way the USA can stop all illegal immigration. Walls are a 4th century BC solution to a 21st century issue.

    I disagree with your assertion that the US is incapable of stopping illegal immigration ourselves. We're the greatest nation in the world! While Mexico's cooperation is helpful and appreciated, our national security should not in any way be reliant upon it.

    It is foolishly naive to count on this arrangement with Mexico continuing unchanged forever.

    A wall will work regardless of who is the President, the "just push them back" will only work when we have a president like Trump. If any of the current Dem candidates become President then all the work Trump has done will be for nothing because the borders will be open again and they will flood back in.. If he can get the wall built before he leaves office then at least our borders will be protected
